So to the CPM I present these questions. What is the Charter and what is it's purpose? What is the status of the Charter? Is there a rough outline? How much input do the CPM themselves have in establishing this Charter? EDIT: Here is a copy of the CSM (eve's version) summary.

It was drafted and put up about a week after our statement was put out about communications, etc. We were supposed to have a meeting discussing it and finalizing it, but we're still waiting on it. In fact, that's pretty much been the roadblock we've been waiting to set aside to proceed further along the path we started walking with CCP towards improving 'the process' in our meeting following the statement. We made another push just yesterday to get this meeting to happen and get the charter finalized, because like said above ; It's pretty much been the excuse CCP has been using to not move forward until it's done. As for what it is : The charter pretty much outlines what the CPM is, how they are chosen, and what the purpose of them interacting with CCP is, and their responsibilities to the playerbase as a whole.

CPM saw the draft some time back and signed off on it, its just that CCP Dolan had to sell it to the rest of the company. CCP Dolan however is a community guy and has to do other things than to babysit the CSM and CPM all day long. The poke on monday is going to confirm a few things about it then try to get it pushed out asap if there are no more problems with it. The White papers are very comprehensive though and will take time to still complete.

The sooner the CPM have some transparency, the quicker the community can get behind them and give them the mandate that some say they lack being chosen by CCP. On a not unrelated matter, has there been much in the way of movement on the election process for CPM1? I can understand that you want to get it right and its a little while away but I think you sort of statement from CCP about where we are on that would be a good idea.

I can understand that you want to get it right and its a little while away but I think you sort of statement from CCP about where we are on that would be a good idea. I wouldn't call it transparency, maybe assurance. Analogized would be you know its a bottle of water, you may never find out how it became a bottle of water. NDA is a powerful tool for CCP to use and the CPM to utilize back and forth because there had been things that had you guys found out first things would have been much more upsetting.

I know you guys are all patiently waiting for it but CCP Community team has been in damage control mode from Eve side so things are a bit hectic atm for them.

(I know derailing my own topic) It's no secret ccp loves their top community movers and help them out to a degree to help them continue their endeavours. So the latest thank you items to start showing such folks was the Ishukone Watch Scorpion (which oddly enough has my Initials IWS) which at one time only 1 existed but now there's about a couple hundred of the things. The bigger problem was a leaked email asking to keep these gifts a secret and people started to get mad over a special ship being given out for free to special friends of CCP. While I myself dont see an issue with the gifts, I see an issue with the level of transparency or lack therefore of. Like nobody knows the threshold for obtaining these special ships. There seems to be no issue over the whole thing so bleh.
