I feel that spawning on objectives is a flawed mechanic because of this issue: When you have killed someone guarding an objective, it is entirely possible for them to spawn in behind you whilst you're hacking and kill you. There's nothing that can be done to stop this - unless you stop the hack, giving more people the chance to spawn in. This diminishes the ninja hacking role, as unless you stack codebreakers to instahack objectives, you will be shot in the back.
My proposed solution is simple, if not completely effective. Stop spawning on objectives while the console is being hacked, not just when the hack has finished and the objective is changing hands. |

Quite sure the timer sets to 10sec if your near the objective. As long as there arent multiple red dots you have enough time to get the hack.
Also thats why they invented code breakers + skills |

While I normally agree with Arkenai, this guy has a point. |

Why is it taking you so long to hack the objective? Normally 3 seconds is not enough time to spawn in before succeeding at the hack process, once hacked this doesn't happen anymore. |

I only have assumptions on the actual requirements, but I've had it happen to me before. Die, exit death screen, feet back on the ground 3 seconds later.
11 years ago, when Battlefield 1942 was released, the devs had the wits to disable objective spawning whenever an enemy was near. This worked very well.
Personally, I think objective spawning should be disabled altogether. This works in domination and it will work just as well in skirmish. |

I agree. I think this will make strategic placement of uplinks far more important, rather than encouraging the spamming of them we see now. Also, it would penalize any team just running from objective to objective, and reward those that actually try to establish fronts and guard the objectives they've already captured. |

While Arkena's suggestion would help alleviate the problem, I think this (^) is a better solution. Just add more CRUs to the maps to make up for the decreased spawn points. |

There's a delay between killing the red dot and starting the hack.

As a longer term thing I would much prefer that, but that would require map redesigns. |

ItGÇÖs not only about your hack time, while it certainly helps, itGÇÖs the fact that anyone on the spawn screen can see you closing in on an object.
If I run solo, and my team is not achieving anything, I tend to don my hack suit and set to find unguarded objects. My hack suit has an enhanced code breaker or two (because IGÇÖm only at level 4, damn that skill is expensive) and a scanner. So I check the objective before I set to hack it but the trouble is that anyone currently dead can easily check all objectives before spawning in, I know I do that, to see if any of the further objectives are being attacked. If I see a redberry on an objective, no matter how far from the action it is, I generally spawn and get rid of him.
The objectives with CRUGÇÖs near them are the worst. If I first hack the CRU itGÇÖs like a beacon to the enemy team what IGÇÖm up to (not only do they get a notification that IGÇÖm hacking the CRU but once itGÇÖs hacked, that blue among red is blatantly obvious), if I leave it, me hacking the objective will alert the enemy team and they can easily spawn on the CRU. Defending an objective should be harder than just an endless loop of mercs spawning in. So I support removing objective spawning. We should be placing uplinks instead and trying to catch flanking enemies by other means. This would also help teams get out of redline matches easier.
EDIT: If objective spawning is left in the game IGÇÖd at least like to see spawning moved further from the objective itself. I donGÇÖt see any reason why you should be spawning right behind the hacking enemy. |
