It's a introduction into the new tutorial. It has absolutely nothing to do with us. It's just for the rooks.

Yes, because all dev blogs must be about the veterans |

So they force-rush new players to train a skill before players understand that SP is a very limited resources, they get no respecs, and they have not played enough to evaluate what skills might be worth getting for them or not? |

Why must some of you mercs act goofy when no one plays ball with your thread?
You created a misleading title for hit generating...
The whole blog talks about the new tutorial
Did you actually read it?
I don't think you did...what's there to discuss about a new tutorial? Seriously Einstein |

This is so dumb I think it even surpasses all of the other dumb responses I've ever gotten - thus I am saving it in the form of a screenshot for further lols.
There was absolutely misleading about the thread title - it's a dev blog that wasn't on the main site, it was posted to the playstation website. It's also detailing the New Player Experience in 1.5
Yes, I read it. What's there to discuss? Features that should be added, altered or removed. It's that simple, I have no idea how you could have read it any other way and coming in here with this "Imma troll this dude" hard-on is hilarious at best because of how badly executed it was. |

It's an interesting and low dev-resource approach.
As a teaching method it's pretty good, peeps will remember what they learn this way.
But CCP is wrong when they say that their audience don't need hands-on with basic mechanics. There are certain thing you only learn by doing, and enough is different about the DUST battlefield that some hands-on will go a long way towards improving the NPE.
Is CCP's objective-based method going to teach noobs not to try and shoot me with their militia swarm launcher? Doubt it. CCP needs to prove this to me. More importantly, peeps need an opportunity to feel what TTK, regen rates, vehicle tanks, weapon ranges/damage/splash are like before CCP hands them to us to remorselessly and repeatedly toy with and raaaape.
So I'd say i like CCP's approach for some topics but it's still lacking, and also that investing devtime in some hands-on would pay large NPE dividends. |

Completely agree. One thing they definitely need to make a tutorial on is how to call in an orbital strike. Three matches in a row today I've (damn near single-handedly) netted my pub squad an orbital and they never called it in. |
