Using this chart provided by the hard working IWS: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=113459&find=unread- srly ppl help him out with this! I have calculated the speed of our future standard tanks. They are disapointing.... The speed of the current Madrugar is 3750 The speed of the current Gunloggi is 3150 Both will be nerfed to the equally slow speed of 2500. For armor tanks, this is exactly a 33% speed nerf, the exact same speed reduction our current enforcers suffer. For shield tanks, it is exactly a 20& speed nerf, faster than our current enforcer. So now were both extreemly slow, thats nice.

After the most recent swarm launcher patch, the only thing keeping me alive is the ability to leave quickly.
It's already at the stage that one proto AV fit can dominate even the best fit tank. Mobility keeps you alive, and we're not only losing mobility, but we're also losing base defenses and high/low slots for precious defensive mods.
Overall, this "make vehicles fun again" patch sounds a whole lot like the, "you'll never want to play this game again." Literally everything I read about it leads me to wonder, why bother tanking post-patch? I should have just grabbed an AR and hopped on board the circlejerk... This game is slowly skidding down the back of the toilet bowl, one patch at a time. The "FOTM" patch cycle does nothing other than enrage players over wasted time/SP and reinforce instability within the community. |

not to mention missile turrets better be worth their salt because they require turret operation 5 to even skill into and blaster and rail only take level 1
and above all else the madrugar is still clearly the better tank since it has the exact same speed 4000 armor and 1200 shields while the poor gunnlogi has only 1500 armor and only 2650 shields while adding more increases the recharge delay and the complex armor repairer gives 145 armor per second while the gunnlogi has a base recharge rate of 168 per second and that's after a recharge delay while im fairly certain that the armor repairs indefinitely
and don't forget that the base speed isn't even 2500 its 2400 so its even slower then the OP makes it out to be and overall the madrugar is pretty much in a good place as is as long as you're smart about it you pretty much can't die in it just be thankful they didn't take your bugged armor reps away allowing you to not only survive but thrive as long as you have half a brain while they removed the gunnlogi's bugged damage mods so we almost can't beat a madrugar no matter how much we try if the driver has any brain cells whatsoever a gunnlogi can't beat a madrugar because we can't out-damage their bugged reps anymore since we don't have our bugged damage mods and CCP had a double standard when it came to those because you said it would make your tank extinct
yet CCP still turns a deaf ear and a blind eye towards the gunnlogi while the madrugars blow us up without even breaking a sweat and laugh at us while doing so if taking away your bugged reps would make you extinct then what about the gunnlogi how many gunnlogi's do you see for every madrugar i don't know about you but most of the time i see a gunnlogi its mine and its only there because im clearly stupid and try to make a gunnlogi work but more often then not i'll start killing infantry so much that they get pissed call in an aurum madrugar and kill me with it post haste so if you consider yourself weak as a madrugar pilot then count your lucky stars you're not in a gunnlogi and that we still don't have our sagaris back,
Rant over... now if its not clear i hate madrugars those who drive them i have no quarrel with i just despise that tank immensely but hey im just happy that those atrocious stats aren't final |

CCP made both tanks have the same speed for a single reason. The new goal of making the frames weak when unfit. Since armor plates slow down a tank an armor tank will be slower becuase plates will have larger bonuses and larger drawbacks than before. So a tank is only powerful based on it's fit.
They did this by increasing the base HP of tanks, and reducing how many fitting slots they have. |

Fuel injectors increase your speed for 20-30 seconds by 35%-50%, and they are high slots. An armor tank can fit 2 of them and lose zero fighting ability but it would gimp a shield tank. Promblem still stands |

Im sorry, but tanks are slow. This is something i've always said.Is insane running behind a tank with an LLAv and the freakn dude outruns you.
I insisnt ,tanks need to be sturdy, but slow.
I know full time tankers want the whole deal;speed,HP,firepower,price,AV nerfs.... but thats just NOT balance either.

If we are talking about real life. We have Javelin missiles that can 1 HKO most tanks. (AV buff anyone? , just kidding) I agree they were at decent , and fair speed.

Thats jsut , insane. i mean they should : 1- Leave speeds as they ARE NOW. remove nitro (or overdrive, whatever is called) for HAV's. 2- Make the speed nerf, but MAke Overdrive last longer + powerful. 3- Its nothing personal. im just agains HAV's being in any way Faster than LAVs....
Again ,you (we in the case of my shield tanker) cant have both. On another note , overdrive (nitro) BETTER BE WORTH that godd*mned slot because i will only have 3 High slots now .... Said real life dident matter P: silly. Nitro tanks is insaine, and halarious. I dont agree with it ethire but this game doesent make sence lol. Though personally, this is the one exception. Nitro tanks are awsome |
