Back at the time of Fanfest, it seemed like the rest of the racial dropsuits were right around the corner...I, in my naivety, figured it would be two or three months at the outset before they showed up. We were told around that time that art wasn't the bottleneck. If that's true, what in the name of all that's holy is the bottleneck? I understand that developing new types of content takes time, and that its difficult to estimate how much. The remaining heavy and light suits aren't content of a different type, though...I'd venture a guess that they're just a few art files and some lines in a table.
So what's the hold up? Wild guesses and speculation welcome, but of course I'd love an dev response...not holding my breath, of course |

i'm actually dumb founded as well.
I mean I like the approach to fixing the core game, and every patch they release is very solid improvements to the game, but it honestly feels like they are jsut stringing us along so they can release the real content during the next "edition".
i.e these monthly patches are just hot fixes while they keep the good stuff for their original 6 month release schedule. |

1.6 would have aligned nicely with Rubicon but that's shot down now. Maybe a December release?
Man, I hope so. Even my high level of patience is being worn very thin by CCP.

Yes, it is quite odd the other racial dropsuit variants have seemingly evaporated into the aether. |

We were told "Soon, not SOONGäó." Well, when is that?
It's absolutely ridiculous, especially now hearing that even more content is getting pushed back out of Uprising 1.6. What are CCP's arguments?
1. "We are working on racial dropsuits and vehicles, but we have more important things to work on first like core gameplay."
That is terrible logic, the core gameplay isn't THAT bad, and really there is nothing more important right now than getting out the racial variants so people can play what they want and not get forced into something they don't, lose interest, and quit.
2. "We are making big changes to dropsuits and vehicles, so we don't want to add them now."
More bad logic. If the Amarr heavy can tough it through these changes, why can't the other heavies? If the Gallente and Minmatar lights can bear through these changes, why can't the Amarr and Caldari lights? If the Gallente and Caldari vehicles are able to endure the vehicle changes, what makes the Minmatar and Amarr vehicles any different?
3. "We are waiting on the art team!"
I thought you said that the art wasn't the bottleneck, and if it is someone needs to have a word with the art team.
CCP, tell us something that can ensure us you are not arbitrarily holding off this content! |

Maybe they're holding them in reserve for when this whole 'monthly content updates' thing hits an incredibly disappointing rough patch...hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge |

I'm curious as well on why its taking so long to get out the missing racial weapons and dropsuits. Part of me says its not even being worked on right now. If we get 1 missing racial weapon and dropsuit every 5 months, I'm gonna be dissapointed. |

Sad truth about CCP...
EVE-online: release date May 6 2003
First expansion "Castor" Release date: December 18, 2003
"Bloodlines" expansion Release date: March 2, 2006 I start playing EVE-online.
"Inferno" expansion Release date: April 24, 2012 features 3D models for missile launchers and missiles along with a mercenary marketplace I'm back to play some more eve and witness myself great moment in New Eden history - 3D models for missile launchers on my ships!!! lol)
Before April 24 2012 (Caldari race where very sad ) there was NO 3D models of missile launchers on ships at all (we where launching those missiles magically from the inside center of ships :) ), but was 3d models of turrets. It takes CCP almost !9 years! to make 3D models of missile launchers :D Just lol!
Dev's teams are different(?), but from years of experience i see all same mistakes & BS from CCP with beloved shield tanking & Caldari race in Dust 514. So don't expect much from those guys... don't bother at all, just wait, it will take years...
I must admit CCP is good at fixing stuff with time, but bad at creating it in first place. I don't hate them or anything like that... i respect them for what they doing (even if they doing it bad, but they DOING IT). It's just CCP - take your time & relax :) |

MINMATAR HEAVY. GIVE ME. NOW. I DERIVE PLEASURE FROM LOOKING AT THAT SUIT.
Caldari heavy? Ich. I don't like that.
Gallente heavy. Cool stuff.
Caldari light seems cool, but not something that I would invest in myself.
Amarr scout just looks... weird. Really really weird.

Im really on the edge the only thing keeping me from jumping off this boat is my corp. Like seriously though I've made it through chromosome with op weapons (AR,LR) being a scrub back then was oooh so very painful and all armor tankers felt the burden of the mass drivers and flaylocks. So what im asking is do you think i'll leave this game because 2 NEWLY released weapons are op HELL NO i'll tough it out like the rest of the vets did and keep on playing. |
