I'm fine with them getting rid of the BPOs, also fine with the ridiculous price of the omega boosters (gonna wait for them to go on sale, if they don't then I'm sticking with standard ones) but if the merc packs are getting taken off the market that's the final nail in the coffin, I'm not gonna be spending anymore cash on this game for boosters if that's the case because it will just be too expensive. I support what CCP is doing with the game itself but I can't continue funding it in this state. |

They're only taking the current merc pack off the market, I expect it will be replaced. You know, like how the current merc pack replaced the original merc pack with the toxin SMG and dragonfly scout.
But I do find the wording of the BPO devpost strange as it implies that the vet and elite packs will be the only ways to get BPOs in the future. Unless that's a mistake the next merc pack will have no BPOs. Shame, I was hoping for toxin HMG next  |

LOL, that would be interesting but they already got a minmatar...what about a toxin forge gun? oooooooh the trolling I could do with that... on a serious note if they're just coming out with a new one that's great, wanted new **** anyway. Still debating continuing to fund the game, just got the vet pack to keep me going for a few months (maybe less if the omega boosters go on sale) but after that...i mean hell by the time I run out of aurum I'm gonna have 20 mil SP either way, probably on the way to 25, and I'll be close to my main goal of maxing out everything in dropsuit upgrades, is there really a need to go further? Guess I'll find out in a few months :) |

I spoke to CCP Logibro on IRC and he said that the current Veteran and Elite packs are being replaced with new ones. We didn't get to speak about the new Elite pack but he confirmed the new Veteran pack will contain a Covenun Assault C-I dropsuit and a Covenun Sniper Rifle. Please note that unlike the Covenant items in the current Veteran pack which are blood red the Covenun items will be rose red. In addition to the slightly different colour they have slightly different names. |

I suspect the current packs were being replaced to match up with the new content we were supposed to get in 1.5.
There's a real possibility that the replacements might contain stuff that isn't released yet. After all, the marketing team hasn't always had stellar communication with the devs *cough*ContactNadeSale*cough*. |

lol no way I'd get the passive one now, if they drop the price maybe, however the actives...there's an interesting one, might buy a couple of those, save of for a double or triple SP event, omg if a triple comes along ill make over a million in 1 week :D I gotta say though their timing with all of this is pretty good, just enough ambiguity to get people to spend money "before it's too late" |

Kinda hard to insult someone's literacy while using poor grammar :) You have a point to make? Because I've read all the updates, if a developer said anything about the merc pack being replaced by a new one then I didn't see it, otherwise this post wouldn't exist. |
