Since 1.4 I have read about the plans to inject this game with massive amounts of SP over the next couple months. With 1.5 coming in a week, we will have loads of new WP opportunities ultimately resulting in more SP on average per game. Also, omega boosters coming out, first match of the day payouts(1.4.2), first three matches of the day bonus (Month of Oct), daily login bonus (~30k SP/week), rumors of a triple SP event coming up, and dare I speak of the rumors of a skill respec SOONGäó?
Maybe I'm the only one, but I'm noticing CCP's trend of injecting a lot more SP into the game, I'm hoping with the intent of getting the rookies a chance to be competitive in battles, faster. Also getting us middle of the pack guys (7-12mil) a chance to be PC ready much quicker...I'm a fan of this and would like to say keep up the good work.
What I'm wondering about most, is with the major changes that they've brought in...scanners, dropships, incentives for squad play, etc...What changes will we see in battlefield tactics?
Is there going to be more of an emphasis on profile dampening for all classes(As a strategy/counter tactic)? Or are scanners so OP we scrap dampening and focus on burning down the enemy?
What about the trend of streamlining the class roles so that each role is much more adept at fulfilling its primary role, but at a much greater disadvantage when trying to cross over (such as scouts on the frontline, heavies with assault rifles, assault logis, etc...)?
What about with vehicles (Dropships specifically, not sure about HAV/LAV) now getting a transport bonus up to :60 sec after dropoff? If you have a good squad, then this could mean massive points at each objective. In and out in less the :60 for a full objective clear-and-flip is not out of the question in FW.
Obviously with the influx of WP's will come the constant rain of OBs. You can reasonably assume 4xOB's per 6man squad in any skirmish; 1 full squad on each side and that's a minimum of 8 strikes per match, and that's LOWBALLING it.
With all the new ways to die, where's the influx of ISK to accommodate the rain of OB's and constantly having a red arrow pointing down on me?
