Today during a domination, the objective was visibly covered in REs and uplinks. To deal with this, I threw in my own RE and detonated it. Only the uplinks were destroyed- the enemy REs (They were prototype, if that matters) stayed to kill me when I was hacking.
Is this meant to happen? |

the objective can protect friendlies from fire like RE, nades, bullets and other stuff. its all about the hit box that hits the null cannon. best to use fluxes for it. it doesn't protect from that. |

The weird thing was, this was the domination on ashland- the objective is pretty well enclosed, so one RE should have detonated everything. |

It's possible, but I tried the same tactic again later, which also failed.
While the REs were further away than the uplinks, they still were pretty close |

Flux, and only flux, can secure a hack point. It doesn't help that they bounce like flubber when you throw them, but they are the only option none the less.
With REs & traditional grenades, there's always the chance of an enemy RE surviving the blast at an awkward angle. One that's got line of sight on you, but not on your countermeasure. |

In my experince my Proto REs actually survived a hit from a flux grenade. And I know this because I sat there and watched him flux my REs |
