I surmise that the participation payout is nerfed a lot. Payout is also based upon isk value of what is destroyed. So presumably you're not in matches with top tier equipment being destroyed.

I usually average 10~15 kills, 0~2 deaths, and 1500~3000 WP depending on the game mode. I rarely net above 200k ISK since 1.4 hit.

I am not the best player out there by far but its common in a pub match that i am in the top 7. Really expensive for me to run even my cheaper builds.

Whereas it was easy to get 250+ even for a loss before 1.4. So I would assume that they've done something to the reward systems.

I also dont remember seeing anything about this changing either and it seems to have happened after the 1.4 patch but i am betting something like this could be done server side without any change to the client.

If you make the same number of war points in a match where you start at the middle rather than the beginning you are guaranteed to make 50% less isk than a full match. I believe that it should be WP based only because when you come into a match at the middle or end and make 1000wp it doesn't make sense to get paid half as much for a match you are in from the beginning to end and make 1000wp. Often if you come into a match at the end you are coming in to a match where your team is getting stomped. Not a fun match for anyone.
