Hey folks,
What do people think about the current death and revive mechanics?
Here is a summary as I understand them.
-You get taken down to zero HP and you become incapacitated. -If you are incapacitated by a heat shot then your clone is terminated. -If you are incapacitated by an explosion then your clone is terminated. -While incapacitated if you are in an explosion then your clone is terminated. -While incapacitated if your body is shot then your clone is terminated. -While incapacitated if your start respawning somewhere your clone is terminated. -While incapacitated you can be revived by injectors.
Things I like -Double tapping is cool and adds extra gameplay elements. -Heat shots immediately terminating clones
Things I Don't Like -Explosives immediately terminating clones (too easy) -Double tapping is too easy
My main issues with the explosives and double tapping mechanics are that they make injectors significantly less useful. than they used to be. Currently very few people fun injectors and even when they do they rarely get a chance to use them.
I would advocate that explosives should not cause a clone termination and that the double tapping mechanic should require a head shot. Neither of these are perfect fixes but I think they'd help. |

I dont like the part, where when you get revived, you have no say in the matter....like getting rivived in a hail f*ucking storm of bullets aimed at your corpse, witch is now alive thanks to mister "i need the wp to feed my children" Logibro.
I want an Accept Rivive option, with the option to turn it off when in a squad, so squads are not hindered by it and should generally trust the insight of their Logi, but WP crazed Logi's ...nuhuu ...i want my accept revive button.
there is nothing like dying once, getting close to 40 kills a game, dying twice, getting revived split second, dying again, revived again before you could select something and doing a fabled belly flip once more, then thanking the enemy for finally killing your "Energizer Bunny" Logibro behind a wall....

Good point. I'd add that to the OP. |

I'd like to see the revive mechanics hammered out a bit. For example, one thing that gets on my nerves is when I go through the effort of running off/killing someone that killed one of my teammates and right when I go to inject them, they decide to manually bleed out. I shouldn't see a revive icon unless that person physically called for help and they shouldn't be allowed to back out of calling for help either. |

Logis arent the only ones who use nano injectors....I mostly get stabbed by a random blueberry using a medic suit or just has one for some reason..also you can press O to die immediately instead of bleeding out |

I don't think that's right.
You can still be rezzed while on the map screen. You have to select a new spawn in order to avoid a rez. |

Well, I'd prefer a long, drawn out, dramatic death that ends with my buddy giving me a cigarette while I die in his arms and tell him to win one for the boys.
