Hey guys
So I just had a ownage game of domination in the battle academy with an alt which resulted in 44/0 (Usually can't break 30 with main.)
Soon after that I allocated my total SP of 507.000 and noticed that I was no longer eligible for battle academy and was therefore forced into a public ambush game.
I was up against two full proto squads, suffice to say my final score was not 44/0, but in fact 4/16.
Now I wouldn't say I am the best FPS player to ever live, but i'm no novice to the world of FPS, but lets imagine that I was a complete novice ( First time with Dust 514) and had a great first experience of the game with the battle academy.
How fast do you guys think I would lose interest ( or anyone for that matter) in this game after being completely steam rolled by proto squads? Oh and keep in mind that as a novice to this game I know nothing about squads and corporations.
I for one can tell you that if I had started playing Dust 514 now, I would quit after my first week of being continuously killed my much superior players.
So my question follows:
Does anyone know what is being done with matchmaking or if matchmaking is even a priority right now?
Is it working as intended?
Is any amount of in-game tutorial going to help if you still have to go up against people over 15mil SP with your meager 500k SP? |

You went 44/0 against a load of noobs as a hardened player! After getting kicked out of the academy with the required 1200WP, the matchmaking put you inthe pro bracket. Based on your performance, the fact you only had a single good match, j skewed results.
You were paired with proto players who matchmaking assumed you would be a decent match for. You were stomped because of your over performance. You will be moved to a lower bracket after you have been punished enough!
Working as Intended I believe!! |

Matchmaking is horrible atm and needs to be tweaked a tad. A fix should be coming soon.
Also, the requirements for graduating the Academy need to be raised and proper tutorials need to be added to give new players a sense of awareness and belonging. It is rough for new players just coming in. Anyway, the points I have made have been suggested before. The ball is in another court now. |

Matchmaking has been perfect for me. NPE is getting an overhaul at some point! |

Hmm, i've had quite a few matches like that though and still not been put up against other low SP characters such as my alt. I'll try to perform poorer with my other alt and see if this really is the case.

This is how it feels to be working for me. I let my brother play for a few days on my main.
By I got back the matches were a little too easy for me, went 40-2 with 20 BSP kills, a few times, couple of matches later I was back against equal opponents!
If you are using an alt from the same PSN account it might be taking your mains performance into account. I only have 1 char |
