Everyone knows that the Scrambler Rifle and the Laser Rifle are Amarrian tech. ( Scrambler Pistol too, but no one ever realizes how quick it can kill snipers  ) The Scrambler Rifle has an automatic variant, why can't the Laser rifle have an automatic or semi-automatic variant? ATM the laser rifle is a marker of death. Anything caught in the marker is fried more than Kentucky Fried Chicken. Why not have a Star Wars pew-pew gun? Everyone loves pew-pew. CCP GET TO WORK!!! |

Why is it that scrambler rifles are divorced from lasers in the skill tree, then? I'll assume that it's an EVE thing, but all assault rifles at this moment are blasters with four relatively unique variants.
Although of course in response to the OP, as you said, the ScR is already the "semi automatic" version of the laser rifle.
The whole idea of having a semi-automatic variant is counter intuitive to the entire idea behind laser rifles, which is that the longer you fire your weapon, the more damage it deals. |

He means technology wise. Instead of a constant laser beam, the SCR releases a higher energy laser pulse.
As for Skill Tree, the Laser rifle is currently a one-off gun that at the moment I doubt we will see other racial variants of (similar to the Mass Driver for the Minmatar and the Shotgun for the Gallente). |

I'd love to see it more as Amarrs racial sniper rifle. Make it effective up to 250m and give it (another) further range scope. |
