Soo.. I notice that these two BPOs are aurum purchasable in the store. but they seem stat-for-stat identical.
THe only difference seems like the valor, actually has PREREQUISITES, whereas the dragonfly has none.
Oh, and the valor has the "G-1" designation.
Can someone confirm or deny that means that the valor gets the gallente scout range bonuses, whereas the dragonfly does not?
Or is there another difference I've overlooked?

The Dragonfly BPO was originally part of the "Merc Pack." Like all such items ("Exile" AR, "Covenant" sniper rifle, "Dren" everything), it's essentially a basic item with the skill requirements stripped. CCP seemingly hasn't retooled it at all in transferring it to the in-game market (which is fair enough-- for one thing, that could render it useless to those of us who purchased the Merc Pack). Probably, the "Valor" should be available at a modest discount due to the skill requirement discrepancy you noticed.
However, since both benefit from the Gallente Scout skill bonuses, the only non-aesthetic difference is that you can use the Dragonfly as a basic light frame if you haven't skilled into Scout yet. |

Incorrect. I have yet to get that suit skill into that suit, but I have two others that are similar.
The Dragonfly Assault suit (Caldari Standard Medium Frame) and the Raven Assault Suit (Caldari Standard Assault Dropsuit) are identical but the Dragonfly does NOT benefit from suit bonuses whereas the Raven DOES (faster shield recharge/shield extender efficacy).
Also, this goes for the Sever Minmatar Logistics suit, although there is no Dragonfly comparative (the Sever benefits from the Minmatar Logi Bonuses and gets the Logistic Armor Repair/Hacking Speed bonuses).
EDIT: Also, if you look closely enough, the Valor has a special camo pattern whereas the Dragonfly Scout does not.  |
