Not a troll post aimed at those that hate AR's (trolling is for pansies with internet balls!) but ever since my beginnings in dust 514 mostly avoided the ARs due to those guns being the status quo in all FPS's (I still dunno why it's called AR 514 with such negativity, assualt rifles are usually the most used in FPS's due to their versatility and suprising range to folks that have learned enough though I will only say that the AR's in this game do have a nice lil kick...but irrelevant for now) and I use the other unique guns in dust and the shot gun, so that led me to the scrambler rifle family, which in my opinion is like they took samus's arm and turned it into a badass gun. and for a semi and learning how to control the overheat property it is fairly potent and i believe should be just about as notorious as the AR and the assualt scramblers are godly! and over heating is not an issue for me at all...which brings me to a question...
I had the cooldown specs on the scrambler up to lvl.4 before I got to the assualt scramblers and I not once was i stopped by overheating before having to reload, does cooldown have something to do with that or what?

Nope I'm saying it true blue! (the reason for the troll announcment was that...there are a lot of trolls on this forum, and trolls in general **** me off not for their annoyance but for the fact that humans tend to show their true selves when they believe they're in any sense of security or invunerability i.e the internet but thats another topic for a different forum...dont be so jumpy)
but yeh soon as i upgraded to adv Scrambler and learned the ways of the cooldown, and plus it packs a lot more damage per shot and I already have much accuracy and a quick trigger finger, plus i dont rely on the ****** framerate to get kills...my play style simply makes the Scrambler far superior and interesting for me than the AR. |

The semi gun doesnt have that much recoil at all, and i can fire the shots quickly and accurately, and once you naturally learn how many shots you can get off before it overheats, it kills quickly and swiftly, I can even go toe to toe with heavies. The only thing I would say that it lacks is the AR's range/damage ratio in the assualt scrambler rifle, the accuracy isnt as good, but thats usually not a problem at all.

Aleksander Black wrote:What are we discussing exactly? The Assault Scrambler overheat? Yeah, last time I checked you had to go through two clips or three nonstop for it to overheat. The new skill bonus for Scrambler Rifles operation reduces the time for it to cool down, but I don't know if it loses heat while you are shooting. I assume they do, and being that the case it will take even more now to overheat the assault Scrambler.
Notice that I used an Amarr Assault suit with reduced heat build up to test this, but from what I've heard on the forum seems like it won't overheat in just one clip no matter what which, imo, makes all the overheat system practically absent in the assault version. Not that I care, I don't like it. Semi-auto is much better.
Basically that, the before paragraph is just fun i was poking at how i like the scrambler, but im finding out this forum is full of instigating attack hyenas, but i digress. Thank you for the answer, I was quite curious about it, becuase it never overheats when I use the assault ver. and was wondering if it were just to give the illusion that its still a scrambler rifle or if my specs countered the overheating issue.
And yeah I to prefer the semi. I use the assault as its better in closer ranges and in hip-fire than the semi (not so say the semi is a slouch, but i think the assault just works better in cqc)
