Suggestions? I don't think it will be OP cause it will have low ammo (battery), will have a huge cooldown timer (jets need to resupply) and will also overheat if it's pointed for too long. AND will have feedback damage making the sentinel suit useful.

Don't like it at all because the jets would be NPC controlled which is a big no-no to me.

It'll be a teaser for when jets actually come out in 2.7. NPC jets are placeholders and what better placeholder than Amarr?

Scrambler Cannon- Single shot, direct dumbfire, Anti Vehicle
Scrambler Pulse Projector- Rapid firing, large magazine, Anti Infantry

These look like Amarr variants of the Forge Gun and HMG. We need something different first. I was also thinking about the heavy version of the laser rifle but the laser pointer is way more fun.

It has to be long enough. Heavies are not the best with CQC weapons because we're so fat. I'd say 20m optimal range. Cut them in half in the name of God and the Empress.

Anti-shield AV weapon: charges like a forge gun, & releases a sustained burst of laser fire. Lvl up gives a longer burst.
Amarr equivalent of a hmg could basically be a scrambler hmg: longer range, & no recoil, but much quicker heat build up & feedback damage. |

How about a Gatling Laser a la Fallout? A very large single beam weapon would have ridiculous heat build-up, so I'm a tad worried about that. I think a long-mid range pulsing weapon similar to a marriage of the assault scrambler rifle and the HMG would be lovely.
Or a weapon with charge shots that fires a large sphere of energy and then bursts in the air and covers the area below in smaller explosive orbs with a low radius. Perfect for crowd control and support fire, as well as freaking out enemies. More tailored for anti-infantry but also decent against vehicles.

Laser Tech outranges bullets anyway.
Smaller Mag, greater range, slower rate of fire. is more fitting.
as for the single beam weapon. It could happen prevising it is implemented firing and instantaneous beam, with a small recharge between shots, 3 beams before over heating for X hundred points of damage. Heavy Suit only of course. |
