Nope, as much as I love my Carthum and Imperial, AR's do just as much dps if not more, don't overheat, and they cost less SP Assault Scrambler rifles are a joke IMO, but I'll take you down any day with the charge scramblers. No where near as much DPS, like not even close.
And you didn't even address sidearms, where scrambler pistols are far superior especially if you have level 5 ops with 11 bullets per clip. |

Why flaylock. Scrambler pistol does what, 86 damage per shot then 11 shots per clip, so 946 potential damage (not even considering 120% versus shields)? You don't need all to hit, and if even one lands a headshot then it's almost a certain win.
I assume you suggested flaylock because of the "scrambler rifle to take out shields flaylock to take out armor" thing, but it's not that worth it when you consider the time it takes to switch weapons and readjust your aim. Let me be clear, I use the scrambler rifle and pistol not in conjunction but as substitutes for each other depending on the situation. And that said, any distance where strafing becomes a factor the scrambler rifle will suit and out DPS the AR, any situation closer and it's very easy to quickly unload the entire pistol clip right in the enemy.
I really wish I had a means to record by battles outside of off-camera. Not to toot my own horn, but when I play I wonder why I rarely see the scrambler rifle/pistol combo. Then I go to youtube and see so many AR/SMG combos that, while yes is really easy, looks incredibly boring and in many cases inefficient. |
