Hi ya'll. Got a few questions.

Is there a way to avoid being scanned?

If so, will the one whom avoided the scan get a warning that an enemy tried to scan?

Will the person that failed to scan someone get a warning that the scan was a failure?

Usually when you are looking through a sniper scope you can detect people not directly in your sights, is there a way to improve this ability?

 If so, how?

You can avoid being scanned by lowering your profile. This is done by using a scout suit after putting points into it, leveling the profile dampeners skill, and/or using profile dampener modules. I believe avoiding scanners is only really feasible for a scout and logis.

If you avoid the scan you will get a message saying "Scan Prevented" or something.

And the person will get an error message saying that there was something out there that avoided their scan.

1: Yes, profile dampiners 2:Yes, scan prevented 3:Yes, some margen for error Third one is incorrect, It always say that.

profile dampeners are the thing u looking for but if ur armor tank race is a waste to skill into it becasue it cost u 1m sp, also like now everyone are using adv scanner so u need to waste a low slot to able to avod it.

FYI using proto scanner need 2 slot , unless the proto scanner are 18bd one u need 3.

 sorry about poor english.

Supporting this answer: NO MARGIN FOR ERROR means you had a solid scan and didn't miss anything.
