Ccp,
Why does the matchmaking still feel broken and in effective?
Is it because of issues with coding, algorithms and development of the feature?
Or
Is it because of a lack of adequate player population necessary for it to function as intended?
Just tell us, please. |

I don't think there is a "simple" algorithm available that will handle matchmaking.
I suspectg CCP would be better off providing ways for players to self-segregate as part of the in-game experience. |

You got your merc pack refund when you asked for it once the game got released in May. You just had to suffer the account reset. |

Are we still going on about this stuff? You had a choice you didn't like... and we have all lived through enough whining for five lifetimes.
Let it go.

It shouldn't be from a lack of players, CCP should've implemented something that worked with the current playerbase. So hopefully it's the first |

When matchmaking was set for more balance players complained it took too long to get into a public match. It can be adjusted back when the server population can support it. |

Would it be good to have another battle finder option to have a list of server/battles available to join? |

Demanding an explanation isn't going to fix matchmaking...
Instead of trying to explain to you the problem, Mabye they are trying to fix it. |

Yea because CCP said I would have to suffer an account reset to get what they said they would give me . When can you admit they made a huge mistake for a long time on the merc packs and chose not to abide by them? |

Wait just a minute there, when did it become a bad thing to 1) enjoy a game or 2) try hard to win when playing said game? As far as I can tell these are both admirable qualities in a competitor.

I believe that the principle problem is that the matchmaker (let's call him Scotty) is trying his best to help players find the matches specified by the player. For example, a player wanting to get into a Factional Warfare match for the Minmatar. But what if Scotty sees there are too many people asking for Minmatar and not enough mercs for the Amarr. As a result that player might end up in a faction he/she didn't choose because Scotty is trying to keep the faction battles balanced.
This is certainly not being helped by the fact that there are only less than 4000 players online at one time and almost all of them are probably sticking to high-sec pub matches like ambush and domination. |

Then they need to rethink the system since it'll be awhile before before the player base increases |

I already admitted that a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago. You just didn't notice.
But I still stand by what I said earlier. That said, just let it go already. The most you could ever achieve by bringing this up is by reminding CCP of what not to do next time. What happened in the past can't be undone. But we can make sure CCP doesn't repeat it again.
EDIT:
PS: Ask me how many time I brought up the Jita Riots of 2011 every time someone here wants a pay-to-win item? |

We all do.
You and I want FW to be meaningful. You and I want FW to be much more rewarding than just give us something that a regular pub match offers for the same effort. You and I want Eve pilots to be able to better coordinate with Dust players so we can see more and more orbitals. You and I want to see the rest of the galaxy (we're stuck in Molden Heath). You and I want to see better balance here so that you won't end up in a match where you are alone against a 12-man army. |
