for 3 months now rendering has been the elephant in the room and its starting to feel like the blues arnt even alowed to talk about the subject.
we cant even get awknowledgement that the problem exists, every single weekly updates since uprising has ignored it, every single recap of bugs, every single thread about rendering all if it is without a blue post awknowledging the problem.
all this talk about balancing tanks without awknoledgement of the single most crippling part of being in a tank, the fact that you cant see infantry reliably outside 50m and the fact that most AV yoiu encounter will be outside draw distance and wont render causing the invisable swarms/forge/turret fisaco
you cant balance tanks without fixing rendering so why is itt that theres all this talk about it without adressing the biggest problem surrounding the controversy?
why wont CCP even awknowledge the problem?
Did they bank too much resources on improving the graphics making it so that the only solution is to rollback all the graphics changes making the new maps and art assets unusable?
are they not alowed to actually talk about the topic?
is there just an extreme communication problem where every blue that frequants the forums is going to pull the "not my department" speach and the people whos department it is dont actually post on the forums?
is there actually a department looking at it?
will CCP ever awknowledge the problem as a bug?
is it working as intended? |

It is a valid question.
It's important for the game.
It's central to vehicles/AV and it's core mechanic.
Many long-term beta testers have this question on their minds.
And it's well posed.

We pointed this draw distance problem on day one when it came out in several places, with increasing intensity. Someone even logon to forum to give us a few answers that this is weapon related issue and have something to deal with angel.. if I remember correctly. Funny part that is that one month later CCP Cmdr Wang mark one of the fresh topics in 'Weekly bug reports' and act like this is something new, and they didn't know about it, what's more they are not able to reproduce it on they local server, but will continue to investigating this issue.

theres also a post in one of the original 1st month threads where a blue goes on to say that this is normal in an FPS and its working as intended and being used as a way to lessen the server load and improve framerate.
he goes on to state that a guy with a shotgun doesnt need to see as far as a guy with a sniper rifle... wich is BS.
we have only 2 confirmed responces to the problem
1: working as intended 2: we have no idea what your talking about and cant reproduce it.
its funny that the issue they were looking into was disapearing turret instalations and not once does anyone adress disapearing infantry. |

they couldn't reproduce it because they never tried...seriously when they started working on 1.5 was the first time any of them play tested any vehicle. past glitches will show you that they didn't even bother testing them. |

When I looking at bugs that I reported and time when they were locked and categorize as bugs it shows me how incredible 'selective' Weekly Bug Report topic is , it's very discouraging.
I just don't want to believe that they are not aware of this issue at this point, I more likely believe that someone's from CCP is not telling the whole truth about it, because they have flat What-to-do-next list, it's very restricted and not contain any time for fixes to vehicles turret. I think that CCP think that changing entire vehicle from ground basis will fix bugs that occur now, and it will take less time in total rather than fixing turrets before big changes to vehicle(but just in case it would be really nice to see blue post telling about that more).
What we can do about it - we can ask politely community of players that uploads they gameplay to youtube to look at it and show CCP how it's look like on our server. I think it will guarantee sparking-up blue post.. for obvious reasons. |

thats the thing, it would be totally fine if there plan was to use the vehicle rework to fix this problem.
BUT i dont think thats whats happening, if it was the problem would at least of been awknowledged by CCP by this point instead of swept under a rug. |

another interesting thing i learned, rendering works PERFECTLY.... on turret instalations...
so can i strap one of those to a tank and use it please? or can you copy the code?
