I need help. DUST 514 seems to be the only game I actually play. When The Last of Us came out, I played for about 3 hours total: neither beating the game nor touching the online play. Last week, I bought Grand Theft Auto 5 and have only clocked an hour of game time. Between work and keeping up with my social life, I do have a reasonable amount of time to spend on my hobbies, yet the only thing I really do is play DUST 514.
CCP, what have you done to me?! |

When Defiance came out I was on it constantly, at times I would take a break for some Black Ops or Borderlands. When the time came I would watch my shows.....Then one day I find DUST in the free section of the playstation store and decide to look it up. It seemed horrible at the time but I thought "Eh, It's free so what do I have to lose?"
I've now given my Black Ops away, my collection of games are now hidden from the world and I have not seen TV in over 3 months. It seems THAT was what I had to lose

haven't thought of buying anything since...rarely play anything else now...
damn you CCP....and I still don't have my Heavy suit...... |

I do have other hobbies. I fish, hunt, dive, collect knives, and play music. The problem is when I am at home. Instead of trying out other games or doing something "constructive" to pass the time, I usually find myself cracking open a few beers: readying myself for a good amount of matches until I need to sleep.

Its because you all have OCD. You are Obsessed about the game and its mechanics, you have to have control that is why you try and win every match or be on top of the score board, you compulsively play when you should be doing other things, and its a disorder because it consumes you, like cursing at a T.V. knowing other players cannot hear you. I have OCD and yes it sounds like most of you do to. I take Paxil ,Wellbutrin, and Vitamin G to calm my issues and it doesn't help I play Dust. F*** you blueberry. |

just like any other drug I guess....first hit is always the best (Dust 514 opening video)...then you keep doing it to get that same feeling as the 1st time (first kill), but it's always a hair away...
then just when you hit rock bottom (pissed off with state of game), your dealer (CCP) offers you a new twist on the same ole thing (triple SP weekends) and they tell you a new batch is coming in (the suits are coming soon)....
then when the new batch gets in, it's not what you were expecting (1.5), but the dealer (CCP) says it's still as good as before, just not as good as what's coming next month (1.6) but for now just take it and I'll throw a little extra in while you wait (bonus stuff for 1st win and Log-in bonus)...
"but that good stuff..that ish you been waiting on (Suits)...it's comin' soon (TM)....soon my man...." <-----CCP...

I don't try win every match, I'm an average player, but I sure have fun most of the time.

Wow, I've played GTA5 exclusively until this evening only to embrace Diablo III again. My Dust vacation can be measured by weeks now. The double whammy of bad game-play and KDR juice has turned me off the game. I could bring in one of the ALTs but it feels like I'm short-handing buddies.
I'll eventually return.
You guys and your entertaining banter gives the forums the win over the game right now. |

if you you play this rather than GOOD AAA games then you have issues. i can tell you aren't really a gamer. your a "casual".
