I thought this needed to be made clear for those who don't use vehicles and for all to see the problems it causes. This is an example video with some slow-mo, and other editing to make the issue with enemies not rendering for dropship pilots nice and clear. You will see that a particular target renders when I am far but when twice as close he does not.
Swarms and forge enemies do this all the time and it is costing me and many others millions. The fix for this bug needs to be above the line for 1.5 if at all possible or 1.6 if that is more realistic.
Don't forget to set to 720p |

I have another example that ill post tomorrow. It will make all pilots stand up and go "see! see that BS!" Direct video proof that the issue cost me 1.2 million ISK. |

Well the 3 other dudes "appearing out of nowhere" i would say they just uncloaked after spawning. And for those who are wondering why he crashed in that vid: shortly before the end he got hit by a forgegun which did more damage then he had remaining on armor. The reason why it looks like he hasnt lost barely any HP is due to the fact that armor reps are keep working even when you are about to crash (cause you had 0HP for less then a sec). But yeah that people appear and disappear seems to be a odd problem with fast moving vehicles. |

Grass and high texture detail is way more important than targeting ... anything, in particular at a distance. |

at 2:29 I have 455 armour then as I am running 2 armour reppers both giving 155 a pulse i go to 755 at 2:31. I used video editing software to pull a singe frame that you can't see in youtube due to youtubes encoding and it's slow playback interface. As you can see in this frame i do get hit and there are 2 frames where i have 0 HP according to the numbers but the graphic shows different. Thats 2 frames out of 30fps. not visible to the human eye.
However the graphic never dropped to zero. While I was correctly killed only a frame by frame analysis would prove it. This is confusing for players, and perhaps should be fixed.
Also it is not possible that those others spawned in just as i approached. They appear (original footage) in the same single frame. To do that they would have to have hit spawn at exactly the same time and the is damn near impossible. We are talking 1/30th of a second.
No. they failed to render. No question. |

effects turrets and vehicles as well as stated infantry and their AV weapons.
thanks for the video proof. i have seen installations pop in just to pop back out when i spin my turret around to where they are no longer on screen, done this in my tank w/ all types of turrets. sometimes they don't even render. |

I have a vehicle alt who hardly ever play due to the associated economic problems...but on the rare occasions I do pull in a tank or two, I've been seeing this type of thing with turrets...I'll try to zoom in w/ a railgun, and either switching views or the zoom itself actually makes the turret dissappear, after which I have to get significantly closer to see it again. So, yeah....bump, +1, etc. |

If you can, try to make a video of this rendering glitch affecting installations. Also how invisible swarms can hit you from max range where you're too far to render the infantry
I've had the same thing happen. Where: 1. See turret drop in but it's invisible - too far to render? 2. Approach and it shows up for a moment. 3. Get closer and it disappears 4. having been flying directly over it for a few seconds, then it decides to render.
* I've actually crashed into an invisible turret installation once while flying near ground level. Took a few seconds to figure out wtf killed me before it rendered in lol. GG
Also happens with infantry a lot and possibly vehicles?
As far as swarms there is a bug where if the player is not rendered then you neither see nor hear the missiles till they damage you.
Invisible swarms can come from either..
A. directly below you as shown in this video B. Several hundred meters, where the swarm can see + lock on to your dropship but you cannot see the swarm player.
Those invisible+silent missiles will smack you around all over the place and you can only guess where they're coming from to within a 3KM radius somewhere (anywhere) on the map lol.

These bugs are completely awful but I'd still rather see a new racial DS, jet, or heavy air vehicle than get all the bugs fixed : / |
