CCP you do maybe not remember but you have the option to put "special" contracts on the battlefinder. So for game modes like skirmish on large maps you could try 24vs24 or even 48vs48. Depending on the feedback from those matches you could decide to get the player cap up or not. Still better then internal testing due to people live all over the world and you see how much the current engine can take. Just think of it like in the closed beta where you tested corp matches for the first time. For those who dont remember: yes there where corp matches in NPC corps. |

There are some maps that 24v24 that would work great with, others shouldn't go above 16v16 or 18v18. |

heard there was a glich a while back were ambush had around 60 or 100 players... this was quickly resolved and never happened again. |

game doesnt have the playerbase for 48v48 24 is more doable keep in mind the game isnt attracting new players and def not retaining them so the more waiting ppl gotta do for a lobby to fill up the more impatient they become and they go load up a game they can actually play
CCP needs to not follow in MAG's footsteps at this crucial dark period coming up cuz MAG died off due to modes being too big playercount wise and taking long to fill + not attracting new players......dust already doin the latter.
CCP 1st needs to make a FUN game that ppl actually wanna play and not grind before uppin the playercount Skirmish 2.0 needs to be full on titan mode or gtfo and replace it with something else cuz its boring as fck |

Eh! I must agree with you. 24v24 anyway should have been tested in closed beta. Anyway... what if we who remains here (more or less) sing any kind of petitions? For example why not throwing this game back to closed beta and then launch it next year on ps4? Let us test all the stuffs like range, damage, OP weapons/suits etc. then open beta on ps4 and launch 05/14/2014. What I mean is, as the bright (why not using your main anyway???) cloud said, we need to test things out. Not everyone wants to test things because they'd think that the game is incomplete (and they're probably right). So they'll just abandon the game. My suggestion: Freeze the stats or give complete aur refund at the next launch, and back to beta. |

ive said it before this game needs to get updated and relaunched on PS4 within a year, 2 tops but that might be too late. but ccp wont put the game back into beta tbh no matter how many petitions we sign.
Over the course of the closed beta till release CCP has wasted a **** load of feedback and now they are paying for it too much time was wasted during closed beta when almost all of it was used tryin to get shooting down and funny thing is IT STILL ISNT so wtf.
Game needs a relaunch on PS4 and CCP needs to hire some actual FPS devs that know wtf they doing |

cmon ccp sticky this. GTA showed how weak this game can be. PS4 and planetside will be even worse. Let's do something ffs! We, the community, really want this game to succeed! Especially we, beta testers, gave you anything. Time, feedbacks, suggestions, tears, money, hopes. Damn, FFXIV did it, why we couldn't? |

^This. MAG had so much potential but failed miserably. I had big hopes for that game and now I have big hopes for DUST 514, but can CCP deliver? I hope they do better than Zipper and make wiser decisions, I would hate to see DUST disappear. MAG failed due to poor player retention, SOCOM 4 failed due to the DEVs not listening to the community and instead giving them a CoD knock-off that had no place in the SOCOM franchise (although many feel that was actually Sony's doing). Bottom line: learn from others' mistakes.
OFF-TOPIC SIDENOTE: As a new player I was drawn in after researching the game and the New Eden universe which gave me great hope for the future of DUST. If all I had to go on was the experience of my first two weeks playing DUST (at the start of open beta) I probably would have just deleted the game and carried on playing freebies from PS+. How many new players know anything about New Eden? Probably very few. How many would bother to research DUST/EVE/New Eden beforehand like I did? Again, probably very few. We drastically need to increase the active playerbase, but people need to be shown the vision of DUST 514 and what it can be, not just what it is right now. |
