Is 28-3 with a ScR good? I don't see many ScRs, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I feel like it is, but kills are kinda easy to get when you use damage mods with an ScR I think. |

Exactly. You just mentioned the problem. The name. People use the AR because they are familiar with it. "What`s a forge gun? What is a Mass Driver? Scrambler Rifle? Never heard of it. Oh! Here we go! The good ol' AR!"
More people would probably use another weapon if that thing just wasn't called Assault Rifle. It was mentioned before very often on this forum. The best choice for a name would probably be something like "Blaster Rifle" and you're good to go. |

OP, stop...being an idiot. Yeah, the AR is a common and very useful weapon, but it is also quite necessary to have it in the volumes that we currently have.
I have a grand total about 20-30 AR kills in the entire history of Dust, playing from day one of closed beta. Just a day or two ago, I went 40-11 with my ADV shotty in an M/1 Assault. How did I do it? I had cover fire from my squadmates running ARs, I would have gotten wrecked by MDs and SRs without them as all-purpose support. For my one shotgun to be able to take out a squad in CQC, I need at least two ARs watching my back and engaging any ranged threats that I am defenseless against. Unlike a MD or Plasma Cannon, I don't have to be tasked with babysitting them from small short ranged engagements, as they have the versatility to be able to easily defend themselves from a minor CQ attack. We need few people like me to take care of the specific tasks, it's still the majority AR users that are needed get the major work done, I just increase the efficiency of the tasks carried out in my field. In the end, we are all equally useful, and should be recognized. |

I've gone 27/1 with a Scrambler and a scanner.
Almost 3500 wp.
I teamed up with some guy using a mass driver. It was awesome.
What about the burst AR? I used to be deadly with that thing. |

I like to use the assault noob driver, shotgun, smg and ar, I also went 29/2 with a plasma cannon 
I used to like the laser but the new sights are just ridiculous I think and I occasionally use the assault scrambler and tac scrambler rifles.
I understand alot of players were too **** to use the laser rifle so I guess your happy now its like a toy right  |

I swear every single one of them had Allotek Plasma Cannons. Glad they were on my team because it's one thing to go against a MD user.... it's an entirely different story when SIX plasma cannon shots come rocketing your way.  That was me and the guys from Cannon Fever. It was a great day.
