Right now, we have the rail sniper - a long range, high initial, low DPS anti personal rifle
I want the minmitar rifle! A single shot, bolt action, powerhouse that can cut through tanks. A base damage of 230 for standard, but with 50% effectiveness vs tanks.
Then the amarr to be a laser rifle...but even crazier. Think the charge sniper pumped up. It can be charged indefi Italy, but charging it overheats, and the more charge u do, the more ammo it expends. The damage is proportional to the ammo used, so it could pump out 350 damage at standard with full charge. Also, overheat doesn't stop the charging.
Gqllente would be a rapid fire, closer range (300m) tac rifle, that outperforms the current tac sniper for DPS, but comes with significant recoil for its ROF. |

Not sure why the Gallente rifle has to suck in order to have other long rifles? |

A bolt action rifle would be pretty sweet.
Now which rifle would it look like? It would be cool if it was based off WW2 rifle designs.
A mosin or Kar98 would be da beast. |

Sounds to me like the basses for a seriously ***** weapon.
Makes the plasma cannon sound good.
Everything else sounds good though. |

Yeah, dude. I think itd end up being the best AV weapon if rendering were fixed. Honestly, forges ain't hard to deal with BC they're slow and they glow. A sniper, even if it only did 100 damage every few seconds, would tear vehicles up. I'm thinking it'd fire a relatively small round with obscene amounts of propellant. Like the whole upper receiver would be taken up by one round.
I hope someday they add some gore so arms are ripped off and torsos go flying. Imagine what it'd look like if a boundless MD got the jump on 10 guys- red deck
And I don't think the amarr rifle would be OP BC even if it could do over 450 damage with fully elected mods and skills, the user would be burning himself charging it and if he couldn't time it perfectly, he be holding a fully charged rifle while trying to find a target, and without a charge, it'd feel weak as hell. I think only the best snipers would be able to use of effectively. |

No, I think it'd excell at moving with a squad and suppressing forges and LR. It could even function as a TAR in good hands. |

The only problem is that the semi auto SCR acts somewhat like an Amarr Sniper Rifle as well.
Think of it this way, yes it functions like a TAC AR when firing in semi auto mode, but when charged, if you score a head shot with it, it will OHK the enemy nine times out of ten, therefore it starts falling into the sniper rifle realm as well. |

I always thought the Gallente long rifle would perform more like an SL8. For those that don't know what it is, it's treated as a sniper/battle rifle with full auto and semi-auto fire(might have burst). |
