Finding it hard to fit with such low PG and CPU is one shield extender enough? |

Unfortunately, the best way to fit a scout is to get a medium frame and fit it with scout-like modules. |

Proto Minja is the only scout that can actually fit a decent tank with its potential for 300+ shield HP. Really, for any other scout suit, you might as well just not bother with the shield extenders, it's a waste of space. That extra extender will buy you maybe another tenth of a second. You're going to go down in <.5 seconds if someone gets a bead on you no matter what. Stealth, stealth, stealth. |

Honestly, I only put a shield extender on if I just happen to have a slot free and a enough cpu/pg after I get everything else.
Increasing ehp is helpful, but it isn't going to make to big of a difference for us (you can take an extra two or three bullets) |

I don't think there is a best way, depending upon your play style different fittings will be better for you you. Personally I find that shield do make a difference, but not enough to matter for me, I run stealth and scan mods most often with variable other things to suit the map/game mode. Gave up carrying two weapons in order to save space.

Depends on how you want to play your Scout. There are quite a few different ways from mobile sniper to nova knifer or shotgunner. What suit you have also depends on what you are going to want to build. Gallente are probably better off this patch and Nova Knifing is proving to be considerably more difficult, though a fix is supposed to be inbound in 1.5. |

There is no "best way" only personal preferences.
I have an advanced Minmatar Scout suit with 2 complex shield extenders, GLU-5 Tactical AR, standard SMG, flux grenades, advanced quantum scanner, enhanced dampener and an enhanced CPU. I believe its around 260 shield plus its tiny armor buffer. It can only be detected by prototype active scanners and eyeballs.
Scan, flank, shoot from behind, hack when possible, then disappear. Don't engage groups or heavies on purpose. If you find a group then relay them to your squad if you are in a squad. Otherwise, enjoy the solo hunt. |

Nova knifing is a little bit harder, but I'm not sure that it's net more difficult. It's very different. It's about stealth now, not just 10M/s sprint speed-strafing your way into melee range. Now that there's no shared vision, it's actually viable to be a ninja, as long as you get your scan profile below the ADV range (36db). I highly recommend playing tricky vertical games in the new socket- there's dozens of places to drop down from. I've been having a blast with ADV knives and my BPO G-1 scout. |

If you're using a scout for scouty stuff, a shield extender is very useful.
If you're using a scout for combat, you may as well jump into the goo pits with militia gear to screw your K/D, and then hand out your isk to the needy. |

As it turns out High slots are relatively useless for scout this build. Proto gal scout with card-reg, profile dampener, hacking module, and range amplifier for lows. AS in equip and precision enhancer in high, whatever you can fit for a weapon (lowest CPU AR is probably the best vs breach scrambler pistol).
This is not a combat fit but a WP fit for hacking. All the scanning modules are for you to stay in the clear. The AR (or better yet HS breach pistol) is to kill other hackers while they have their back to you. |

I feel like even though scouts are somewhat UN-loved, CCP did a really good job at defining the scouts role so they don't just blend into the other suits.
You have awesome Minjas running around, killing all they see. And once eWar kicks in, we GalScouts will have our day. |

Personally I have more PG than I can shake a stick at but CPU is the real limiter. I can't get anywhere near using all my PG without at least an enhanced CPU mod. |
