Considering the lone heavy suit is armor based, there is no resistance toward explosive damage (in fact, it's a "negative" resistance). Mass driver and locus grenade space completely obliterates armor, given their damage buffs from explosive damage vs. armor, so releasing a shield heavy alternative for heavies to use is in order.
In a paper-rock-scissor-style game, not having a tanking counter in heavy suits to explosive damage users hurts overall balance, and its high time to correct that. It can either be Minmatar or Caldari, but considering Caldari only has the one suit represented, maybe its time to show them some love. |

Also, fitting 3 or 4 heavy complex damage mods will help us oneshot those derpships. |

You're right that a shield tanked heavy would be a good and balanced addition to the game. It shouldn't have more high slots, though- just innate shield tank. Also, really? You think the Caldari need to be shown love? FFS, given the current absurdities of shield tanking (mostly the borked recharge timers), Caldari suits have been to go-to best suits pretty much since launch. Despite the fact that Caldari only has medium frames, if you look around the average war barge, you'll see over half the players wearing Caldari suits. |

The problem is that there is already an established imbalance between armour and shield. 1shield is worth roughly 2armour. The base stats of a shield tanked suit would completely outweigh a comparable armour suit. |

All the remaining suits need to come out at the same time, as far as I'm concerned. |

It would be a beast forge sniper. Either it can run without reps, or it can stack damage mods. It'll basically be the callogi of 1.0 in a heavy suit. |
