To those complaining about "lack of content"

What would CCP have left to give us if they threw everything they have on their plate at us in a year's time? It would be 9 years of the same thing. With at least a 5 year plan, they can space a lot out over a long period of time. With 10 years, they can put in more over an even longer period of time. Stop crying about new maps. Stop crying about new weapons. Stop crying about new suits. If they gave us everything before November this year, what is left to look forward to? Dust's 5 year anniversary? 10 year anniversary? Is more content more important than fixing bugs?

This. I expected all racial suits to be present at release, this means all Scouts, Assaults, Logis and Sentinels. Maybe the racial Dropships, LAVs and HAVs as well. I expected FW to be fully functioning (or at least close to) at release, so that squads and teams had a place to be away from pub matches. That's what I expected to be present at release (among other kind of stuff) and then afterwards they could release more stuff at their current slow pace. I'm talking about Pilot, Crusader, Commando suits + other unknown suits, Speeders, MAVs, Gunships, Fighters, MTACs + whatever else they can dish out vehicle wise, new weapons/modules/equipment/whatever such as other sidearms and heavy weapons + other things.

But thankfully we are finally starting to come out and see more variety :) I think by the time we get to build 1.10 we'll have a half decent game :) I expect problems but I think we are getting a solid foundation now :)

Sure, I'll agree with that just so people at CCP can feel better about releasing content. Even though the logical extension of that is that the game went into release with even less content than it appeared, since it had to be fixed with "more content". I feel bad for you IWS, you have to put so much effort into this type of thing. I couldn't be on the CPM becuase I wouldn't be able to try and put a happy face on this type of stuff. I'm sure every corp has a standard line that gets thrown around whenever someone on comms starts to complain about bug x, or glitch y. Player 1: "Why the F does the game do ....." Player 2 "Because CCP" Someone told me this one on comms somewhere, and the name sticks in my head. CCP = Can't Code Properly. Helps to keep the rage down when you remember who made the game, and lower your expectations accordingly.

Then CCP can give us extras like the Commando, or the plasma cannon. So yes, we can complain about lack of content, because we're not waiting on creative new things, we're waiting on the kinds of content that should have been with us day1.

I think I would have been ok with the drop suit and vehicle models being the same for all races in order that they would all be available and everyone could train the racial variants to get specific bonuses. This by far has been the biggest flaw imho.

Ridley Scott worthy lens flares? For that we have had the worst aiming system i have seen in a FPS(after throwing out a general consensus good one) Textures you get stuck on everywhere STILL... An endless Gun nerf cycle that has been a giant waste of time and gotten no results.. After redoing vehicle physics 3 times they are still hilarious... Uprising 1.0-1.5 seriously what new was even brought out? The only semi finished thing they have released in the last year has been map's... that really anyone could of done... Let's not even get started on the memory leaks on a ps3 that has none... After all everyone loves restarting their ps3 a couple times an hour... If you leave CCP to make something "perfect: in house... they only seem to waste 2 months that they could of launched the content let the community bug and balance test it and CCP do what they are good at... Little band-aid hotfixes... The fact is we have a massively slower gameplay in DUST now... and its never been more un-balanced... Dust gets a credible Executive Producer and then it might seem like this ship has a captain... But at the moment CCP has Attention deficit disorder, And are really running around blindly without a plan that makes sense.

I thought the plan now is some kind of every month 1 patch, but every 6 months a new expansion, which will then be implemented over the course of 6 months with monthly updates. Also regarding the content thing: Dust 514 has more content than Battlefield 4 will have when it's released. And contrary to Battlefield 4 we don't have to pay to get new content. What Dust needs at the moment is advertising. They could actually snatch some Battlefield players. Especially those, who would like a new BF2142.

Of course this game will have tons of content. It's sci-fi, and the only limit to what can be in it is the brain. For all we know, 3 to 5 years down the line could be compressed time in EVE, which could be a few hundred years. The technological evolution could be incredible. OMG. sighs, alright, I'll list some things since you're unable to think of any yourself: th revamped Skirmish 1.0 (atttack/defend, ultiple stages) lava planets, ice planets, more vegetation, MTACs (they were proised for early 2013 back in Fanfest 2012 and STILL not here), MCC commanders (promised since 2009), player-deployed instalations (promised since 2009), EVE starship boarding, PVE (promised it woul be here by 2012, still not here). Gun customization, I can go on and on.

Such as Speeders, MAVs, Gunships, Fighters, MTACs, Pilot suits, Crusader suits, Commando suits, at least two heavy weapons still, several sidearms, some light weapons as well as a bunch of other Equipment and Modules + lots of still unknown stuff.

As for bug's and content being seperate... to even assume added content wont break the fixes they are doing is hilarious... What are you basing this on? CCP's track record? because in the history of CCP in EVE that has ever happened... Every bit of content they bring out breaks something or bug's out hundreads of things.... Welcome to CCP... If you want to wait for them to fix well known bug's that have existed since uprising launch... I wonder what you thought they where doing in the first place? Again CCP opened their mouth... they said this and that... And the first 3 times was cool... we where fine with fixing the game... Now coming to the mid way point of Uprising... and what they said and what they do is two massively different things. You can be sold that another patch will magically make this game work properly... but everyone else who knows better are looking for other gaming options for the full time goto game.
