So the gist of the conversation was that all smart mass driver users moved on to the assault forge guns since they are better.
FG perfect versus vehicles and does 381 splash damage per shot.
Mass driver limited range, much lower splash damage and versus vehicles is just no!! ....lol! NO!!
Then I asked about the proto mass drivers and the gist was lol!! 8 times the cost of the EXO for a few points more when a cheap militia damage mod is better.
So I purchased some boundless and freedom mass drivers and found them to be way over priced for the paltry "advantage" that they give.
So the best mass driver is the EXO?
And the best mass driver in the game is an Assault Ishukone FORGE GUN?......
Well back to using my lasers and thanks for those burnstalks. |

I tried the basic assault forgegun and troops run from me.
When they see me with a mass driver I die most times then I get sent mail telling me to use a forge gun lol. |

By the time you factor in ROF for both the mass driver is behind until the 5th second!!
The high damage offsets the forges charge time!! |

The mass driver is still better because you DONT need to use a HEAVY suit,taht BTW they are UP, to use it.
Learn Flux grenades. USe ASsault MASS DRIVER with Cx Light damage mod. THEN tell me they suck.
Are FOrge guns good? OH YEAH. FG are one of the best weapons in this game.
Is is SO worth it that you will play heavy? F.... no.... |

Even the Milita varient of the FG is incredibly powerful, it will one shot nearly any suit, has good splash damage, can absolutely obliterate vehicles, though to be honest it is more of a medium-long range weapon as it can be somewhat clumbersome to aim at short range. However, with the skills that can be applied to the FG the amount of time it takes to fire shots comes down greatly. So while you might be loosing when you have no upgraded the skills much, any investment into FG is going to be paying you back in speed of kills. For the mass drivers, each point into it is splash aoe bonus, in fact it can get larger then nearly all gernade classes which makes it perfect for killing most medium and light suits in the game. If you don't want that much range go with the Exo which is actually very powerful weapon, while you may not be able to just stand in the open you can take out people very effectively, this has not changed. A lot of people still use the mass driver, so when comparing the two weapons, the FG will be a better choice if you want to just stand around being a turret, the mass driver though is a lot more of a mobile aoe weapon. |

FG needs HEAVY < Massdriver
as simple as this. Unless you are roof camping or have team backup , using a FG can prove to be a pain in the rear... |

Well I do have a million sp unallocated so I am going to try the mass driver at proficiency three or prof four but then when I begin going 10 and 8 with the mass driver instead of 3 and 7 deaths?
Yeah then folks are going to notice me going 10 kills and nevermind the 8 deaths and then we are going to see threads like:
OMG! out of a thousand deaths 999 were to AR Duvolle and one was to a mass driver so lets cut down on mass drivers since they are out of control!!!
Sigh.
Thats why I am more tempted to continue using lasers.
But I do have AR operations L5, AR proficiency L5, AR sharpshooter L5, etc.
But I am tired of the AR. |

well i've squad with regular trooper this week and he still rack 30ish kills every match with is MD and he rarely dies, FG may be powerfull but a MD in the right hands still get the job done  |
