HD has worked fine before... and aiming mechanics right now they are both worse then chromes. and then we got an Aim assist that tracks jumping sprinting targets no different then slow moving targets... Blowing up their Hit boxes so you are hitting them well behind cover...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oVKlD3N8xM
Chromosome... Seriously how much has the game even changed for the better ? or changed? we got drawn on rock's and grass for ground textures.... and Ridley Scott worthy lens flares... But we still get stuck on terrain, there is still hills u'll be glitched on for half a minute...
This Uprising has been a giant waste of money, resources and time... all they continue to do is alienate the customers they have...
They leave this Aim assist through another patch and keep it a perverted replica of bubblegum shooters better built and more balanced there is literally no point in playing this game... CCP has squandered its potential. |

Pretty much this... OOO*carrot* your gonna get more racial suits and more tanks and more content content content..., *people go invest in aurum* No wait we changed our minds the core game is still bad from when we broke it so you guys can wait a couple more month's... while we do damage control on actions we made last May....
Content~!!!! then damage control...... Not balancing... and then damage control... it makes no sense for a business model!
buyer confidence has never been lower for the DUST brand name.

The fact is this isn't a bubblegum shooter... where your death only impact's your epeen... There is real consequences to loosing your stuff's... which is an amazing concept...
But completely pointless when it isn't the players dictating who looses what....
Its not a tool to make new players viable... And any player who put in the time to learn how to aim before it has been completely put off.
For the people who like it... its more of a convenience then an essential tool to play DUST. |

I stockpiled PSN cards while in beta. Unsure of what would happen after full release, I convinced myself to not spend until then.
1.0 came out, I played for about 2 weeks and quit. Deleted from my console. Got on the forums and shook the rage fist relentlessly for weeks.
1.1 came out and I reluctantly got back in. It was becoming evident that CCP was not at pleased with the product and work was underway. I got back to grinding, part-time, uphill.
1.2 was enough to get me back full time (or was it that I had forgot how to play Skyrim and the DLC was kinda ******?)
1.3 was the first of the quick fire updates. CCP Devs started being more active, vocal on the forums. I was/am appreciative.
1.4 showed a lot of promise with new maps and much improved mechanics. I started using those dusty old PSN cards.
My point is that there may be some fully developed, really awesome games coming down the pipe but I have never had more confidence in what's going on with the game and internally with CCP. The 1.5 debacle really shows that they know that incomplete, incorrect content won't cut it if they plan to succeed.

Yes, it was like that for several days, and it was indeed silly. They toned it down. Auto-Aim magnets seem to be gone now. |

For the people who like it... its more of a convenience then an essential tool to play DUST. If you use a controller you'll see how it's still pretty damn hard to aim. The DS3's analogs 'return to center' when you're not moving it in any direction. This makes it REALLY hard to make incremental adjustments, unlike how it is with the mouse. If someone knows how to strafe effectively, you have to be experienced to be able to hit even one shot. Aim assist helped take a subtle edge off of the all or nothing type movements the controller has. |

This is all just assumption... majority of the best players in this game are ds3 users... and got that moniker by fighting KB/M raw input chromosome people and owning them....
Your gaming input device is your choice and is only limited by the person who uses it... it is proven within the realm of Dust purely by people that are at the top of the game and have always been ds3 users.
And yes it sounds like a convenience... to hit moving targets.. that should stand still while you kill them

You can never get "used" to illogical shots landing that even the most talented marksman would have trouble making... and then shots that should land that don't
hit detection got an Aim assist band-aid to fix it... without it... hit detection is as bad as ever... even worse, shots that have no business landing.... do... and shots that should be on target miss.. |
