i dont know if its a bug, but when your in looking at the moons of a planet, some of them seem to have a line to the left. right, top or bottom as if its a gap between the moon graphic tile and the background. |

I think he's talking about the 'solar system view.' I've bug reported this as well I think. There seems to be something like a .png or something of the planet that you can select to then look at it's districts. The graphic file appears to be placed on a non-transparent square tile. I'm guessing each planet's graphic has a predefined pixel width and height, but they seem to be off center in the tiles they are placed in. Since they are off center, you can sometimes see the 'edge' of the tile they are placed on so that, even though the background of the graphic is transparent, there is a sliver of the tile that isn't. I've wondered if this is a file size/format/arrangement issue on the server, or if it could be a client rendering/TV resolution/alignment issue... |

So now that I've read the wikipedia on PNG graphical formats, I COMPLETELY understand how they work...jk... but if I had to interpret the Greek that is in there I'd take a shot in the dark and say the metadata that defines the image could have some sort of issues with how the decoder 'sees' either the pHYs (aspect ratio) ancilliary chunk or the tRNs (transparency information). That is unless most image files are stereoscopic, in which case it could be sTER.
Right, right. Noticed this as well.
Basically Cognac the OP was referring to the other planets we can't fight on like Plasma/Ice Planets - rather than moons =D |
