The way I see it, this whole thing started when CCP Eterne responded to a request for better match making by stating "It's not a top priority at the moment." (Source has been auto-pruned due to inactivity)
So instead of having an essential balancing mechanic for a FPS, Blam! decided to punish veteran players for the sake of new players, 3 times over:
-Took away proto tanks.
-Nerfed PG skill.
-Infantry still had access to proto AV.
I don't know how you guys manage to keep tanking. I would've torn my hair out by now.
