So all of my requests are definitely support based, because that's all I play pretty much  .
Why not create a deployable shield? It could act as mobile cover, just set it up and let it absorb the damage. Obviously it would be affected like infantry shields are, more effective at blocking solid rounds but highly affected by laser fire. It may even be a good WP bonus. 1 WP for every round absorbed, 5 for vehicle/turret fire, and 30 for destroying the shield.

I actually just said a similar thing last night. It would add a little variety to it to those open maps. the biggest issue that I could think of is Dom games where they could deploy multiple and camp the entrances. That would just be nasty. |

I totally agree, but that could give laser rifles a distinct advantage on the battlefield seeing as how they could simply rip the deployables to shreds. It may actually be meaningful to have one at that point. |

In late Chromosome dev blog about Uprising equipment, there was a mention about exactly that: Deployable shield.
However it has never been seen anywhere after that. |
