I was torn between posting this here, or in the bugs, section, but since I presume things are "working as designed", I'll post here.
It makes no sense to me, that you collide with your own team members, but DONT collide with enemies. This is exactly backwards from expectations. If anything, you should never collide with your teammates, because after all, they're supposed to be helpful. Yet currently, they are more likely to impede you doing useful things (accidentally of course ;) )
Contrariwise, it's downright.. silly.. when you're sneaking up to someone about to, lets say, riflebutt them from behind... and then they walk backwards right through you?? This shouldnt happen. Walking through an enemy, should not be a viable means of escaping death. :p

I haven't noticed the clipping through enemies, but the ability of blueberries to block your path is rather annoying at times. |

I think it's been commented on occasionally. but people are not usually that close unless they're using knives

Knife user here.
I have had no substantial difficulty with hostiles being able to walk through me. Pinning them in an objective alcove for a quarter second while I cut their giblets out is a favored tactic, in fact.
Possibly there's a disagreement between client, server, and client about hostile location, resulting in a collision-detection issue? That would seem to be less common if the target's standing still at the start (as in my case). |
