And what I mean is gear that is produced by or is related to your faction, like if you're Caldarian fighting for the Caldari then everything on your suit or vehicle that is lost in the faction battle that is STD and below will be replaced if lost during the battle. There should also be key points within the war like a special forces operation (which should be rare) that advanced and maybe even proto gear is payed off. CCP if this idea was implemented this could b a first step into getting players to take FW a lot more seriously when combined with ideas like loyalty points.......hmmm...I bet this will be buried by posts about something op :(

Well to be fair we are making efforts to have Factional Warfare be more experienced players, not new players. More experienced players will have more than enough money to cover militia or standard gear and making that stuff free would just encourage them to play in FW getting stomped instead of playing Public Contracts and getting match made.

Free gear ruins one of the factors that sets Dust514 apart from other FPSs.
Even BPOs and starter-fits are pushing it. |
