often many would make a ar suit with damage mods and tanking(example). the thing is in armored core you had experience figuring out enemies weaknesses and strength and tried to put the following parts to give you an edge in many situations
in ACV the most common build was the usual mid/light with battle rifles and various ke weapons. in response i made a powerful that can defend well against most common weapons ppl use and used the right weapons to pack at punch at any range.
wen you think about it, through those experience and here as well. one could make a great clone useful in many situations and yet knowin ur weapons and wat the majority of players often put on their clones so u can gain a good advantage |

Yes indeed. In AC, you have to know your ****. And you got to know the ins and outs. It's so in depth. You just can't throw a AC together for some random sortie run. You will either be eaten alive, have the wrong weapon type for enemies, or just plain run out of ammo. That means you're just paying for repairs and not making any money back. Just like Dust 514.
AC forces you to dig in and really get serious. It can be overwhelming for the first timer, but if they stick to it, they will find themselves with an in depth game that forces you to be meticulous about your choices. The payoff is great. |

currently waiting on the next AC to come out(the 24th is VERDICT DAY) I love building them and tweaking down to the last stat(stabilizers anyone?)
favorite builds are ones that punish people doing something extremely specific(FOTM) like sword rushers. Oh, you want to rush me? Fine, I balance backwards for maximum retreat speed, and I have 4 god-damned miniguns. Hope you like a lead breakfast, lightweight.
now that game has customization. a million million ways to fit something. |

I played ACV. It was fun but playing for districts was too mich of a hassle. Did find a good clan while playing it but they made me practice 2 times a week so I had to go. But Armored Core its one of my favorite games. |

When I did shield tanking was king, so it only seemed logical. Now I'm so skilled in their use that it doesn't matter what they tank, because 25% more damage negates pretty much any HP tanking. |

The very first AC game is what forced me into learning inverted-Y since there was no other option available in that title. Now I can't play games without it. |

Being experienced in ACV, I would say yes, that game did help me learn dust faster. You should try gundam battle operation. Oh good lord, that game will tear your heart out and smash it into the dirt. You start out feeling nice until you get slammed into a battle against 6 Kamphers, then after the Gundamstomp you go into COST limit matches and get stomped by high level pilot ribbons or Command GMs, and even once you pass all that **** you can't level past four without spending yen. Not MONEY, but YEN. It's a fun game, but the lag compensation is so awkward and the F2P implemented so horrendously that it saps the fun out of it quickly once you get some real time into it.
Also, GOUF is best suit, let no man tell you otherwise :3 |

All of that is sh*t compared to the feeling of getting my GPO1 blueprint to 75% on last day of the event and not unlocking him. Same thing also happend with gundam alex made me shed a tear. Btw you can level past 4 IIRC my friends, both on US accounts, are rank 5-7 and some others are 10+.

Also, screw the GPO1, I didn't get the Alex or the Kampher from the Anniversary event. Did get the Gyan tho, cool suit but the stabbing motions of the beam foil make it useless on less-than-stellar connections.
But yea, go to Gamefaqs or the English wiki and look at the difference between the last free suit level, 4, and the first paid suit level, 5. Or the guns and modules (3 and 4) for that matter. It just saps your will to play right away. I fought a rank 6 Alex once. Two Zakutanks, one Zaku 1 Sniper, and my GOUF all hit him into a glorious 20 second long stunlock and did only 10% or so damage. I could only shout 'ITS A GUNDAM' and spontaneously combust. |

I managed to get BD3 during the event and I think kampher, it's a suit that has EXAM for the non ESF group. Love that suit. Btw do you have zaku? The sturmfaust is a bit*h against high level suits and it just rolls against things that should normally outclass it.

Kampher is a solid blue unit with a SHOTGUN. You got the Efreet Kai, the dual-heatswords EXAM unit, looks like a spiky GOUF.
Also, yes, I have a Zaku II Kai, but I'm not too fond of relying on the sole RPG. Same reason I hate the Zudah, fast and has a Sturmfaust, but so few HP it just feeds the ESF kills. I refer the Tank class suits, weak as they are, as the bombardment effect is most pleasing, and I hate Multirollers, so it feels nice to just wreck their indecisive rears at range :3 |
