Sorry, had to make the subject short so it would fit. But I figured you guys would get the gist of it.
Right now, vehicle active scanners just work like a pulse that lights up enemies in the surrounding area as long as their in range.
But say it worked like the infantry one, where it worked over a short time, but kept the enemies light up for longer and added that blinking effect.
Here is what I have in mind for the best scanner:
Range: 175 M Duration: 5 seconds Scan Duration (How long they stay scanned): 20 seconds Cooldown: 10 seconds
Anyone have anything to say? |

i thought that they already worked very much like active scanners expect with a 360 degree arc. You turn the module on and it pulses for a while then goes into a short cooldown. Repeat and keep cruising around and you keep the enemy light up so your team can know where they are. One of the things i do often when i cant find a good concentration of enemy to kill is that i call in my lav and start driving around so i can see where they are without much exposure. Then i go back with my squad and try to flush them out. |

i think the current vehicle scanner module works well for vehicles.
I mean as a vehicle you don't need to track enemies but rather know your surroundings. So if someone sneaks up on you you'll see them with the current scanner where as your vehicle scanner would only track the peope in the radius ( which by the way seems way too large) and someone who was just outside the radius can walk up to you and toss a couble lai dai AV nades. |

We have (for now) ScoutLAVs, which "should" be able to locate and paint targets for a team, or an incoming orbital. Having an effect similar to the Active Scanner, where the target stays painted (and shared with Squad/Team) would be a nice addition, so the LAV can locate the targets, paint them and the rest of the Squad can move in. |
