 Range and recoil and the AR will feel more more like a blaster. Reducing hit boxes plz no, some other weapons have already bad hit detection and that would make them useless.

 If I don't have to reload like a blaster then I'd be ok with it, but fact of the matter is that using "Let's make this thing work exactly like this other thing" is faulty logic. There are anatomical differences between a turret and a gun that you can't simply go "balance it by homogenizing everything".

 The best way to nerf the AR would be:
 
 - Increase the MD splash damage and radius
 - allow MMC sniping
 - Give tanks 2k base hp buff
 - Bring back flaylocks
 - fix the grenade reliability
 - Reduce overheat on SCR
 - Bring back chromosome LR
 - Make the Heavy suit faster
 - Bring missile turrets back
 - take away another slot or two from Proto Caldari AR and give it to lolCalLogi
 - Give 10% increase to Forge and sniper damage
 - Bring back invisiblity
 - Bring back Murder taxi's
 - Bring back dancing scouts
 - Bring back mike tyson
 - Make the nanites useless again
 - Take away any form of bonuses from AR skill tree

 PS: i wonder when we are being able to open the hatches on tanks and throw our AV nades inside...much more realism!

 My humble opinion, but the full-auto AR should get a slight (5%ish) damage buff, but a significant range reduction. It should be an effective close-mid-range run-and-gun gat, with long range effectiveness left to the TAC or other racial AR variants.

 A minigun or HMG in this game has a 1000 meter range in real life and can cut down a thick tree in 8 seconds
 
 Prototype shipbased railguns have a dead accurate range of 50 km
 
 Sniper rifles have a maximum range up to 2 km irl for larger calibers
 
 shotguns firing slugs have an effective range of 80 yards (around 70 meters)
 
 etc etc
