Making militia armor plates give more hp than the proto shield extender. Oh and the proto armor plates cost 24 less cpu than the proto shield extender. WELCOME TO THE AGE OF GALLENTE! |

Exactly that Its balance. Me myself couldn't care less if MLT plates give more HP because i rely on speed, and shields dont have SPEED penalties. |

Yep, each one has pros and cons. You have to make choices and weigh the tradeoffs. It sounds like the OP really values total HPs, which means he would probably prefer armor tanking, if he dosent mind sacrificing some speed and being more vulnerable to explosives. If he would rather have a smaller buffer that recharges itself very quickly and allows for speed, while melting quickly to lasers, then shields are the way to go.
People can make suits that appeal to their play style. The game is getting nicely balanced with shield vs. armor IMO. |

^^^^ Pretty much.
AND in ANY game with speed and armor factors, the heavier one will be a little slower but pack more HP, there by:
I have a 500 HP Med with 7.9 sprt speed. Or a 750 HP Med with 6.7 SPrt Speed
Is your choice, but its balanced.Well kind off, will be balanced as soon as aim assist is tuned down and people can actually make use of speed again :3 |

Nope that has to happen because of Armour Tankings lack of regeneration. We have greater EHP but much slower recharge time on EHP, Shield get Lower EHP by much faster recharge.
Unless you spent the entirety of Chromo and Uprising till 1.3 playing the inferior tanking type you have no valid cause for complaint. |

If you take fire as a shield tanker, you're able to duck behind cover and fairly quickly regenerate all of your shields, which is a significant amount of your HP, allowing you, oftentimes, to return to full HP. As an armour tanker, enemies will burn quite quickly through your limited shields, and immediately begin destroying your armour. The only method of regeneration, on anything other than a logistics, is to sacrifice HP, and it is rather slow although it's constant effect helps to offset the problem. If you do not do this, you are completely incapable of returning to full HP without assistance. Also, I find that very few weapons have practical drawbacks against armour, where there are several that suffer against shields. Personally, I don't see this as an issue. |

My only gripe is that the HP amoutn from basic to Advanced to proto armor makes sence, but shieds go up by like 10 from basic to advanced, but then by 33 to proto! wth! make advanced shields 44 HP per. |

Amarr Advanced Logi suit is the suit I use if I was going to tank anything(I don't do proto suits yet). I use it now as a cheap logi fit and for AV. It doesn't fit logi equipment well but it does do a good job with a plasma cannon and some prox mines. |

High base EHP is just one side of the story. Shields regen faster and without any help from mods.
Armor tanking relies only on low slots, so you have so sacrifice 65-135 HP just to get from 2-5 hp/s regen. For comparison Caldari med suits have a base shield regen of 25hp/s.
Armor has an advantage in the first battle, with higher EHP, and regen that is constantly going. any fight that happens after that one the armor tanker would likely still be weaker. |

lol.... Trying to make armor seem OP, lol stop that.... Silly you!
Just shoot the Gallente with an assault SMG. Case complete.
If you need range, worry not. When the Combat Rifle, Rail Rifle, Precision Rifle, Magsec SMG, and Bolt Pistol comes out, armor guys are going to find themselves in a world of hurt all over again. lol...
