1. I've been seeing a TON of heavies running around with Duvolles. This sucks, because they're basically just tanks with high powered AR's, utilizing AA. Granted, now that I've played with AA, I liked it better without, but still. At least a medium or light guy can be taken down easier. Heavies should only be allowed to carry heavy weapons, not light.
2. Seeing more Swarm, laser, and plasma guys. This is cool, no complaints. Even though I don't use the stuff, it's great to see it back on the field.
3. LAV's "feel" different now. I'm not complaining about the murder taxi being harder, I've gotten a couple kills here and there with it. It does feel a bit sluggish now, especially while accelerating. Handling feels weird too.
4. Someone told me MD's were basically nerfed because of AA. I'm not buying it, these guys are still running around just randomly shelling everything. MD is still OP, firing rate is WAY to high. Keep the damage, I don't care, but at least make it slower and/or reduce clip size.
5. Forge gun campers. These guys suck, and it seems like there's more of them now. Can't you reduce the range on the forges, or at least reduce the effectiveness for long range shots, or guys up high?
6. Love the maps. I love having to snipe from ground level when I do snipe. More of a challenge for me, and feels way more rewarding than camping on a building.
Overall, I like 1.4 quite a bit. I can live with AA (I'd turn it off, but not unless everyone else does), and don't really have any major complaints. I especially like the rotation I'm getting with the old maps too, I was worried they'd be eliminated. So in my mind, CCP is doing right by us with this patch, I just wish they'd look at some of this stuff and close up some exploits/loopholes. |

1. No. Until Heavy Weapons act like heavy weapons and kill as well or better than a duvolle you can feel free to deal with us AR spamming.
2. You've obviously never been on the receiving end of a good laser master. You will QQ before the month is out.
3. I have no sympathy for LAV drivers at all.
4. Mass Drivers are intended to be something that you go "oh ****" upon seeing, not "LOL mass driver, EZ mode!"
5. No. Give heavies tools and we will use them. forges are the only weapon with any non-suck range. Have you seen the range of an HMG? I've seen children fire spitballs further than the effective range.
6. Welcome to the role of "tactical sniper." I will meet you in the field and introduce you to my version, the "Tactical Counter-Sniper"

I think you should ignore Breakin Stuff. Each of his points is a one line version of the equivalent "get gud" trolls you see in General. My guess is he is just a child. If he isn't then he is an embarrassment. He managed to get :
1) Spam 2) QQ 3) Censored words 4) A "see you in battle and I'll own you" comment
All into a quite short reply.
To your points :
The game is designed around varity fits. Limiting heavies to only heavy weapons forces people into a limited play style. One of DUSTs strengths is a broad spectrum of options. I think it is a better game with a depth of possible fits.
Forge campers are agreed by the majority to be broken at the moment. They have the best AV in the game but unlike swarmers they suffer no penalty against infantry. They do just fine if there are no vehicles to shoot at. They are too strong against vehicles and too strong against infantry. |

Agreed. However, I think it's CCP's fault for the heavies. I understand the heavy/duvolle thing, hell I made a fitting with it for fun (didn't use it though). I think heavies need MORE weapons, in their own class other than simply forge and HMG. Then again, I think the way the MD is it should be a heavy only weapon. I just think weapons should be more class specific. If a heavy can carry a Duvolle, and medium should be able to carry a Forge. It should be set up so there are at least some weapons that are class exclusive. It's that way for heavies, but not the rest. At least some sort of PG penalty, or accuracy penalty for using an out of class weapon.
But again, it's just observations and opinions. |

1. If it's the only way you can win, I guess. Seems a little cheap though.
2. I have been. I got toasted last weekend 3 times by a guy with a burnstalk. I give him props, 2 of those were awesome laser usage/shots. He wasn't playing cheap, he genuinely got the better of me and a few others. I tip my cap to guys who play legit and own without resorting to low end tactics. Even sent him a message complimenting him after the round was over.
3. I wasn't complaining about the end of Murder taxis as we knew them, merely talking about even open terrain driving.
4..MD's are OP, the EXO and freedom are proof of that. The problem is there's no CQC counter unless you have a flaylock or shotgun. And then if you do get shots on them with say an AR, they just shoot it at the ground between the 2 of you. To me, that's low end tactics.
5. Again, low end tactics. I don't see how cheating members of the community because CCP doesn't give heavies what they want justifies this.
6. Actually, when I do snipe, I rarely ever sniped from high rises or redlines, so there's no welcome needed. You can meet me in the field and introduce me to tactical counter-sniper. I'd love to add you to my head shot collection. |

Disagree, big people have the ability to carry more weight, this doesn't mean they have a minimum weight to carry
