Funny thing about this?
The aim assist is MINIMAL.
They fixed the hit detection, and you all just blame getting killed on the aim assist.
News flash, morons: everyone's bullets are now actually going where people aim them.
But don't worry. You can absolutely keep making threads about aimbots that make you lose and we won't be laughing at you behind our hands. |

CCP basically gave every shmuck with a militia AR and a lack of aiming skills a huge crutch...and they call it "balancing"
The most hilarious thing about all this is to see those shmucks pretend everything's alright and/or that they're actually good players. |

Do you "vets" really believe that the people playing this game, the so-called noobs, have never played an FPS before and wouldn't be able to kill you anyway with or without the auto-aim?? You're crazy!
You're getting killed because they fixed the hit detection morons, don't make any of us repeat it again! You're not as good as you believed you were, you're no better at FPS than anyone else, you're just accustomed to the game and how best to take advantage of it, that makes you a "vet" and the rest "noobs" but doesn't make you a better aim (unless you're using your KBM crutch of course, that would make you better cos it's easier than auto-aim!) than anyone else.

Fact is the largest support of players I see in favor of AA are players who started playing console shooters after the COD craze(before Turok, Perfect Dark, Goldeneye etc) or are PC FPS players who think AA is a mandatory necessity in console shooters.
The reality is most of you nonfactors are and remain terrible at the game, thats why CCP had to give you a feature that compressed the skillgap. Reality is the AA in chromosome was fine and the major issue with Uprising wasnt lack of AA, anyone who understood the issue knew that it was entirely the acceleration they added during Uprising to try and increase DS3 turn speeds that royally screwed up aiming.
Once again uninformed ignorant playerbase that are bad at games dont understand the root causes of what was wrong with the game to begin with now assume that current fixes were the apropriate fixes to a problem. Welcome to placebo effect. Just because its better then Uprising doesn't mean it was the proper solution.
All CCP needed to do was bring back chromes level of AA and tone down or eliminate the DS3 acceleration on turn.

This, and remove any hot fixes that were put in place to compensate for aiming and hit detection in 1.0 uprising. AA is meant to balance DS3 and MKB, not new players and veterans. Don't confuse the two.

GTA 5/will be pretty good if you like ok graphics, decent shooting, kind of fun driving and a long drawn out process of failing mission and restarting them from the beginning. 16v16 multiplayer. It may be fun but GTA start hard and die fast. I really do hope you enjoy and I'm going to pick it up because the game is good 75% of the time. DUST offers me more so I will be back. I enjoy everything about the game. Its like we are lab rats and they are just injecting us with stuff to make us crazy. Crazy about more DUST, it is a vicious cycle but so interesting that I can't stop. Thank you CCP and I do very much enjoy your games. |

As opposed to a game thats supposed to break new boundaries yet combines the most hated and cheapest mechanics in both FPS, MMO and RPG genres
AA--Check Skill point cap-Check Needless grinding to become relevant-Check TTK shorter then COD--Check Cheap OHKs-Check
There is nothing unique or good about Dust, GTA on the other hand does and is evolving to become a fun Open World Micro MMO which i predict will open up to larger player numbers when it drops on next gen consoles.

We need to separate the effect of the aim assist from the hit detection changes.
While anecdotal evidence would suggest that sidestepping a bullet with human reaction times is not a very realistic concept... I imagine damage values might need an across the board minor nerf to put a bit more time and reaction time back into battles. |

I have my AA off.
I would have thought that between September 2 and September 3, that I had added 5 million SP to every weapon. The hit detection is just that much better. 1 GEK-38 clip used to get me through 1 or 2 enemies. Now its like 3 or 4. Bullets still miss if you're off. Bullets that are on target register much more often, but still suffer from lag on occasion.
