Stacking penalties for sheild and armour, kicks in after 3 consecutive plate? Its annoying when people brick tank, but right now alot people need a little extra health, my suit only runs 460 ehp, I have a kincat on it for speed, he runs flanking maneuvers with an MD its awsome!!
But I could do with a little more cover on the older maps!! |

well... there are not that many alternatives. Hybridization is brutally punished in this game as well as multidisciplinary roles are typically to weak in every role they try to take up to give it the flexible advantage of a fit. |

My Specialised role is ShockTrooper, its hard to Shock enemy Troopers with a fit made to prance around like a poney on speed, i need my suit to stand its ground when enganging multiple opponents.
Ive tried allot of fittings, but my playstyle consists of going Straight Trough, a suit made for 1 vs 1 ing or hit & runs would do me very little, hence my suit is all about Buffer Tanking and allows me to engage groups of people. |

The BEST way is not to get shot!! But people are gearing towards 1v1 fights and holding posistions, the more health you have the longer you can return fire, people are effectively choosing trench warfare!! Things need a little tweaking but no one can deny the current TTK is better than 1.3, its just we overshot the sweet spot!! |

Thanks to 1.4, the SP I invested in anything other than shield extenders and armor are pretty useless. It's safer just to use BPO until they sort out the laughable TTK levels. |

Get you badger CCP to do something about that in .6?? Non health (related) modules need a more power, they need to be worth more!! |

If they want other modules to actually work, they should all add to the base health of the suit.
for instance a Regulator could add 5 shield HP @ per level, and a damage mod add 5 Armor HP per leve, thats still allot less then say an extender or plate but it will not leave you standing with a suit made of 450 EHP total at the end, because right now 450 EHP is gone in 0.3s |

I have 20+ different load outs. Several are for pc, several more are cheap fits, alot more of them are experimentation.
I was able to go 19/4 this build in a scout suit with 0 armor or shield mods. I am able to achieve 15+ kills with a 2.0 kdr in a standard dren logi suit with a complex damage mod and 1 enhanced shield mod. No armor mods but I did have an armor repper.
You cannot really stack alot of armor and shield mods on standard suits anyways but I can still play decently.
The people who think that this is the only way you can play this game is wrong. Doing the same thing over and over again bores me and I like to try alot of different things. To those people getting bored and quitting.... try a different playstyle. Mix it up a bit.
I am living proof that with a little bit of imagination, luck, and skill that there are alot of different ways you can play this game successfully. |

When they first introduced hybrid runes to league of legends I made the same face. This one ->
Its worth a try CCP. I think this is a good idea to continue exploring further with more modules. |

Now you could add these hybrids and up non health modules together, I know I would be prepared to drop a 66 sheik extender fora 30 ext + 10% recharge!!
Electrif ed armour, Sheild and hack, Speed and Sheild
Howevef, you need to make sure that a hybrid module positives dont't outweigh those of them seperatly!! |

One of my suits have massive shields and armor for the highest eHP (still I have a repper, I can't give up a repper on an Assault suit), but it's really one of the possible combinations.
2x Shield regulators... anyone? I find it great.
My favorite is 2x Kin Cats and 1 Shield regulator for Caldari medium-frame shotgun action. That's one of the best possible loadouts in this game for CQC. Fact. |

And as for the OP, lack of imagination doesn't mean lack of effectiveness. You don't get bonus points for originality. |

But when stackimg more plates makes you more effective at whatever role you do, everything else is a little pointless!! |
