I want to sit down face to face with them so i can explain to them how that is not the proper way to describe/defend a games play style when its already an FPS and that aiming should be an understood fact and something you will need to get better at regardless. The only Track Shooter i know is actually called a "Rail Shooter" and you can find those in arcades labeled as Area 51, Time Crisis, and House of the Living Dead....
Or when they try to use the term "Twitch Shooter" like its some sort of derogatory phrase and if you play a game known as that you are less than. As if a game with the "twitch shooter" moniker requires no aiming at all. When actually, this game is the same as all the rest.... just not as good and poorly executed. |

I'm pretty sure track shooter means it has a longer time to kill. Which means that you need to track the target. As opposed to most normal shooters where you only need a short burst to kill. |

You missed three letters in the statement tracking shooter.
Before, it was about who could keep their aim on target (tracking) and that determined who got the kill. Similar to halo.
Now, its more about who shot first, similar to the way Call of Duty is played. This is due to the fact people can aim, along with that shots actually hit.
This, in truth, is the way DUST was meant to be played by design, however faults in the core aspects lead people to believe that this was, by design, a tracking shooter.
This is state we can state balancing with. |

Im just saying, google track/ing shooter and tell me what you find. If this was truly a game genre then this term would surely be used enough for it to show up in the results.
Dont be confused by the amount of likes i have. Ive been around for a small while. I know how this game was on the first day of Open Beta.
The TTK is a balance issue, not necessarily a game defining feature unless your name is CCP and you like to repeatedly change every stat in the game on a whim only for it to turn out for the worst 90% of the time. |

Track shooting is the same as Rail shooter.
It's funny cause I watch Jung play and I see no difference in his game. The AA is not killing anymore than it is without it. I still see him make impressive kills
It's easy to make such claims when you have to make an excuse for losing.
And I think that's the problem here. I've said it countless times before, the reckless abandonment that you once had before 1.4 can't exist in its current build. You will get shot down pronto. |

Yes, but the TTK in a game is directly linked between the two styles of shooter, officially recognized or not.
Polish the Aiming, and then balance until DUST is similar to before HD worked.
Other then that, I don't see your annoyance. |

LOL @ my annoyance
It's funny Rain Man was so intelligent that he could figure out the toughest calculations. But when it came to the simplistic, he failed horribly. |

This is state we can state balancing with. Then why make suits have high hp then? |
