Would people be ok with squadmates always being able to see each others health?
I'm a Logi and I know that this will drastically increase my squadmate battle longevity.
Also, thoughts on squads sharing vision with each other, definitely not as good as in previous builds, but maybe flashing pulses like what is seen on the TacNet from use of the Vehicle Active Scanner.
It makes so much sense for squads to share tactical information, the (Dropsuit) Active Scanner already shares intel with the whole team, but sometimes their is no one running scanners, or the scanner person is out of position/dead/etc. This would also give good snipers the secondary role of providing tactical intel, that can be received without having to be on comms. Because sometimes you a random with no mic in your squad.
Thoughts? |

So some more research. Scanners only reveal intel to squads. All other intel is not shared. |

I played several games solo as Assualt, where I was seeing scanner result from people in squads.
If they did nerf it, then it needs to be reverted back to sharing with the team, or bring out variants that do that. |

True, but that is for the whole team, I ams asking if just limiting it to the squad would be better.

If they did nerf it, then it needs to be reverted back to sharing with the team, or bring out variants that do that. So, TacNet intel definitely changed as of 1.4. But given the number of bugs and issues and a lack of solidly objective testing on our part coupled with a lack of transparent and free flowing feedback on ccp's part, there remain a lot of questions.
I hope we all agree that scanned intel is now an incredibly valuable asset. So valuable, in fact, that electronic warfare and intel management have the potential to define or enhance the role of Scouts.
When I Trigger my Active Scanner right now in Dust and I see several red targets bloom on my TacNet, previously unseen by myself and any of my teammates...who else, besides me, sees the new red intel light up on TacNet or HUD?
Squad, if I am in one? team, regardless of my squad status? Unsquaded teammates if I am unsquaded?
These basic questions need answers that we can all agree are factual before we can truly discuss where we go next.
Any help or feedback is greatly appreciated.

Every client used to have to download the exact shield and armour hp of every player in sight. Now that they don't it's reduced the load on your connection and left the details of who's got what health to the battle server.
I know this isn't good for us logistics but I've covered what maybe a more optimal solution than just giving us the hp bars back over in this thread ... https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1286565#post1286565 |

Very respectfully, H Sanchez Sanchez Cartage llc Again, unless it was hot fixed, Active Scanner show their intel your team, I have seen this while both unsquaded, and squaded where I was the only one with a scanner. It has been a while, that I have solo'd, and most of the Logis in my corp are running with Scanners, so its a bit hard to tell.
If you wanna test it out, join my corps public SDSyn Public and we can go into battle and test it out. |
