Fell in love with them. Fitted a Caldari Advanced basic medium frame with 2 militia kin cats, a shotgun, knives, a complex shield recharge thingy and a precision enhancer. Boy it was a very inexpensive fit, and I got positive K/D ratios all day. CCP give me a respec! I would spec full into kin cats or at least to enhanced. |

How can anyone use medium frames? The lvl 1 medium frame costs like 7000-9000 isk, while the assault variant costs only 3000.
Does that price-difference change on the higher levels? Because if not, you get a more expensive sout with less abilities. Or do the normal frames give more cpu/PG?

Yes i'm wondering the same thing too.. or maybe they haven't specced into adv specific roles just yet? or am i missing something here

Your right actually. If you skill into the cheap suits, you lose money by it takes less time to unlock. But that's why the ones with special abilities are worth it. You save more money. |

I have proto medium frame at the moment - As someone who doesn't use boosters it was much easier to invest the smaller amount of SP to get 90% of the functionality. ISK isn't really an issue for me; I generally break even or only very gradually lose out when I run pure CQC fits. I end up very positive running a sniper.
This is interesting, I may have to give nova knives a go. I feel like speed has become obsolete since the 1.4 update though. I really really hope something is done to mitigate the nerf, it has really destroyed a play style. |

Really, did you find the knifes useful or were you mostly 90% using shogun? |

Went 11-3 with nova knives with shotgun and knives. Yes I admit I got 6 of them with the shorty, but I was using it as a sidearm. Run in, knive them a few times or melee, and if they back up shotgun them. Pretty simple. |

I spec'd logi and I use the basic frame for AV fittings because I dont like to just use a logi with a swarm launcher I like having a SMG as well so I can still be somewhat effective against infantry and for how much I use it I didn't see the point in putting SP into assault when I have adv basic anyway. Plus its not like ISK is hard to come by really. |

I ran a militia scout suit (Minmatar) with 2 Militia Armor Plates, an M512-A SMG, and Nova Knives and I did better than I do sometimes with my Combat Logi. |
