Mass drivers are for people who lack 1v1 skills and need to be taken away or have the splash damage reduced. Too many times have i seen good players using proto gear get killed by noobs who rely on this weapon. I thought this was dust514 not misile514. do something about this! |

Nope. I fought a guy today who had skills with it. He was soloing in the middle of a the filed at the end of the bridge. He was good and it wasn't the MD it was him. My wife says relax and it isn't so bad. |

proto =/= good player, mass drivers are about on key with everything else right now if anything AR and SMG are the top tier weapons right now. |

i agree proto does not mean you're a good player BUT 1v1 with a mass driver they'll kill you before you even cut through their shields with an AR or SMG. this is the issue. no matter how much you evade the splash damage will get you. |

I use AR's and MD's the AR's are dominating thanks to 1.4, MD's are back to be support weapons that works mostly in closed areas, choke points and mid ranges, that's why I only use my MD's in city maps because having them in the open field for long distances is almost useless, besides there's plenty of ways to defeat the MD in cqc but I'm not going to start a lecture about that, so I'm just going to say "use your brain" |

You know what I actually agree with you and I have know clue what people are talking about when they say " there's barely anyone using the MD in 1.4" lol it is the main cause of my death in this game... |

If you die to a MD in a 1v1 with either of these weapons, you are either engaging outside of your optimal, or just plain suck.  |

i have two MD fits
the mass driver is my secondary for both, it simply doesnt pop out enough dps to just spam and pray.
one fit uses remote explosives as a primary... with flux/MD combo for defence and pushing the enamy back so i can set my traps
the other uses a submachine gun primary and the MD as a finisher
i dont pump out near as much DPS a an assault rifle, and i actually have to aim the damn thing, its not splash and prey like the AR users think... use terrain to your advantage guys... |

Nope Mass drivers are totally balanced right now, and experience based require a good deal of skill to drop rounds at distance. Harden up, you probably don't even armour tank. |

You are lying. This is a lie.
AR has more DPS than a Mass Driver. Last time I calculated this scenario you'd have to miss about 40% of your AR shots to be killed by an equally fitted MD user getting DIRECT HITS. Nevermind splash hits.
Look at the stats, break out a calculator, and stop embarrassing yourself.
You are dying because you are bad at this game, not because the Mass Driver is OP. |
