But why couldn't they just put 4 or 6 on there ... most PC motherboards come with at least that built in these day, even the cheap -ú25 ones ... mine has 8 with another 6 off headers for case ports ! It's not like USB draws power (until you plug something in) or hogs resources or anything ! EDIT : Anyone know a way round charging my DS3 from the mains ... I''ve tried loads of mains-USB adapters with cables that work with it either plugged in my pS3 or my PC ... but none will charge it direct from the mains.

Edit : and as you say ... a single controller can support many devices ... so why limit you to 3 sockets ... I believe it's ment to be more keyboard, mouse, webcam friendly ... so why not give you the means to charge or connect lots of these things.
