Like after they take it, they place installations wherever they like and maybe set up some minor barricades to slow enemy progress. I mean not in battle BTW, I know we will be getting drop able installations in the future.
This way it will feel more like defenders are defending.
It would also be cool, if attackers got the chance to send in a small squad of soldiers to scout out and tag installations. Maybe they could have a small window about 1-2 hours before the attack begins.
The scout team could only have 1-4 soldiers max and maybe 2-8 closes in reserve(or none at all), while the whole defending could way around for them if they So choose. |

What I would likenis for the sockets to change depending on the infrastucture the corp build and and the racial loyalty of the corp.
So Corp A are a band of amarraians and have placed a research lab in the district!! The research lab gives them bonuses to networked districts!! This will give a unique and specific socket set, dependent on how much power it needs etc, etc.
Now Corp B invades and occupies the district, they happen to be a minmatar corp in need of a Storage Hub, now when the armarrians try to take back the location, well the terrain will be the same but the sockets in the terrain will now all be different!! |

PC battles in general need a revamp. Playing the same skirmish battle on the same maps we've had for years is getting incredibly stale. There's no sense of worth of ownership of the actual land we are defending. Every map looks the same and every battle plays the same (cap objectives, spam uplinks, turtle). |

I think it should depend on which district, of which planet was invaded. Then whatever corp takes it over gets the option to change it to its race of choice. Maybe take a week between changes.
Overall, love your idea.

Sounds good to me, the problem at the moment, is that attacking the same, district all ways gives you the same map and sockets, the map should be fixed but not the sockets make it feel like itsna dynamic and changing war!!

I said that awhile ago, every time a attacker wins a battle, the defender is pushed back to another socket on the map.

Agreed, that's why I was saying the map should change sockets depending on who wins the fight.
I'd really like to skirmish 1.0 come back for PC. Attacking team shuts down the cannons, MCC moves further into enemy territory. |
