I have been reluctant to turn Dust 514 on in awhile and I come to the forums to try and gather an opinion as to if it is worth trying (1.4). I have been sucked into the world of Final fantasy A realm Reborn, and in that game, every minute counts, and to play another game would mean gill not being made or missing out on valuable loot drops or dungeon instances.

So my question to everyone, since I have not seen any Youtube reviews, at least any of substance, has the new update made the game any better than its previous shell?

well to answer your questions, are you a controller user or KBM user?

Aim Assist is now pretty much OP for the controller users that they pretty much dominate KBM users. So if you are a controller user you'd kick ass and murder plenty of clones.

no team/squad shared view meaning you wont be seeing a lot of red chevrons on the screen unless someone uses a scanner in your squad.

everyone dies quicker than usual, heavies die in 2 seconds flat.

Yeah, make another video of you spamming PRO AV grenades at someone just starting out tanking.

so unless someone has a scanner, you see no red dot.... like they automatically have cloaking on? I thought that the higher meta gear you wear the higher signature you give off on the mini map unless you skill into profile dampening.

I use a controller... what lvl and class are you on ffxiv?

yeah pretty much so, you can only see the ones that are in your line of sight, snipers, tanks other clones that are fighting in other side of the map wont be seen by you unless a squad mate used a scanner.


i play now and then on FF, so my level isn't that high, around lvl 25 gladiator, during beta testing for that game i was a gladiator and pugulist (however you spell it)

U will like the new laser sight.

My opinion?

At first it pisses you off, after a couple days you figure out you have to change your play style, than you love it.

The new maps, sockets, outpost are amazing though, you'll notice that right off the bat

Being pissed off seems to be a routine thing with every new update (build) lol

Every time I give an honest opinion I get the short end of the stick brother... My opinion was irrelevant from the start of my first Dust video.... and especially the MCC sniping video I made.... that really threw it out the window with programmers....

But we do not make the game, only play and support it... so I would think that everyone's opinion should matter.

Considering you, Vin's statement is pretty accurate.
