Obviously the academy needs to be extended to 10,000 war points so the new guys can learn the ropes while fighting each other. They are not gonna learn anything useful by being proto stomped.
I suggest three types of match queues:
1. solo queue. This means no squads at all. This is for people that are most likely to be new at this game and are still learning the ropes after their short time at the academy. Yes there is still going to be that proto stomper but at least there probably wouldn't be a lot of them working together.
2. squad queue. the only way to enter this queue is to have at least a squad of 3 to 6 people. Even though there will be a lot of new and average people playing here at least they should be working together and not lone-wolfing it
3. team queue. When the time comes where we can have a full team queue up this mode will be for corps with 16+members on and want to roll with each other.
Do yall think this would be a better match making system than what we have now? |

not sure if this is the exact best way to do it, but yes something needs to be done.
All this talk of matchmaking improving.. still cant even get a full squad into a match 90% of the time without someone glitching out
and just like before, the distribution of players in these matches is typically extremely unfair |

true. but it would be a good start. im tired of getting solo blueberries that don't even know how to hack. |

Academy needs to be redisigned.
I totally miss a training ground, where I can test different weapon types whithout any stress on some dummies.
I use academy to test weapons but i have the feeling that there are many vets inside with same idea.
To be really fair alternate mercs should not have access to the academy if another merc of the same accaount has over 10.000 WPs (for example) --> for testing new gears ude a training ground system

No, I dont. it doesnt fix "proto stomping".
The only way to stop proto stomping, is to Stop Proto Stomping. This is directly doable, not as a "well, lets try this roundabout method and see if it works", but as a Direct Block.
Simply have matchmaking that does not put people who nave unlocked proto suits, in with newer players. Easy to code. Could and should be done as a hotfix. |

Hmm.. fun idea. it would be pretty cool if the system noticed that the char was an alt, and asked, "Do you want to go into the (elite academy)?"
[Hey, elite academy. catchy name ;) ]
This elite version, would have LARGE Freakin Maps, for one thing.

If they did that then people like me who have proto but don't use proto in pubs will be forced to constantly play with proto stompers.
I believe the best way to do matchmaking is to give people a choice. I wouldn't mind there being a standard only game mode . |

I like #1 and #2, but I hate #3 option. It wreaks of slaughter for the weak. |

I don't think it will be a slaughter. it will be mainly for big corps vs big corps. Most of these new corps can't even field 6 of their own people. |
