Gallante (armor) are the second most maneuverable and caldari (shields) are the most cumbersome on the subject of mobility. Altho shields are weightless and heavy armor is well, heavy, this was done to keep the lore balance in eve and dust. Thats cool, alot of us have promblems with this but whatevs. However, this trend is inconsistent and its weird.
Armor dropships are less maneuverable than shield dropships Armor tanks are more maneuverable than shield tanks Armor dropsuits are less maneuverable than shield dropsuits
Kinda weird |

Kinda weird It all is kinda wierd, even looking at design philosophies from eve. If they were to follow the archetypes from eve, amarr would have the most lows, gallente then second, minnie the third and caldari the 4th, you can reverse that order for the mids.
I am not sure why they decided that CCP shanghi would do their own thing rather than follow convention. |

but they claim they are following the convention by keeping up with the lore, but they do it all wrong. Makes no sence, their trying to make them the same but its turning out really random and mostly different |

I agree, I mean an amarr assualt with shield recharge bonus? that doesn't make sense at all seeing as no amarrian ship is designed to even think about shields.
Oh well I will wait until they release all the suits to make a judgement on them as a whole

Not everything translates well from eve into a shooter, for example the sensor nerf on shields would be massively negligible. Where in eve it will get you killed if your electronic footprint is the size of a titan and you're only a frigate. |

i dont think its too soon to make judgements considering:
caldari are supposed to be the best at using shields when minmitar have more high slots and less low slots and ammar are supposed to be more armor tanking than gallente and minmitar are supposed to be flexable in tank yet ammar are the flexable ones and mini are the best shield users |

But in eve it is balanced that a shield ship is slower than an armor ship, but it is not balanced that a shield tank is slower than an armor tank |
